Now here is a nice forthcoming from Gringos40

Junot as General of Hussars. I think he promises to be their best yet frankly, to judge by this. He is separate from the horse, I gather (that cannot have been easy), just his sabretache and sword arm to attach. I imagine the pelisse is cast on him. Ged says he has many an order already, so some folk must have had "wind" of this!
My lead mountain is growing and I must resist…..I must for a while anyway…….

You are too kind. We have never met.

But what about this model?

I have only seen this one pic, but several things strike me.

The reins, the horse's mane, the right sleeve of the pelisse, the tassels on the boots and on the cord securing the pelisse.

I imagine the two prongs are a temporary feature and, of course, this is not the final casting.

But how I wish I could do this quality of work in Greenstuff. I spent today, with a few of my newly arrived Genie du Garde, just converting their leggings to overalls. Not convinced better, even as good as than original. They look like Zouaves.

My new Drummer of the Gendarmes d'Elite though. Oh yes. This is going to be a good conversion, as I had already made my own, before they released this latest.

Deadhead thanks for the heads up and passing on much of the
info. The figure comes in a top and bottom section as Junot
is turning in the saddle leading on the men of the 8th Corp..poetic licence as that was 1812 and he was probably in the drabber Generals uniform. a fascinating character who is said to have received seventeen sabre cuts to his head alone…………nickenamed the Tempest he was a brave
and misunderstood close friend of Napoleon the title of Colonel General of Hussars being created especially for him

as to the figure this is a one off special with great attention being paid to every detail of his uniform
and horse harness.

the prongs are sculpting aides and will not appear in the final figure…..

nb still collecting information on him..loads on his Mrs
but a paucity on him.

he was enigmatic for sure…a mini comet that burnt out
too soon.

Few more pictures from Ged and Gringos40. The painting of Junot is a contemporary original apparently and about to appear at auction in Paris….and no, you do not want to know how much it will start at!

and beautiful he is……remember…he is 15/18mm!!!!

I think you need to work on the horse's head a bit tho'. "Hi ho Silver, away!"

Plus, if you go to the original site of Sho Boki, there are more pics of Junot in his full rig.
