Good news!!! Though they are advertised on Ebay as being OOP, the El Dorado/Sea Dog period "Afro-Caribbean Renegades", (coded SB2/1 & 2?), are apparently still in production and in stock. They just don't have them on their website. Ask Bernard at Foundry |

How customer friendly of them... Griefbringer |

If interested in viewing them, I have a couple of jpgs of the figures I found on Ebay before hearing the wonderful news from Foundry. Point taken. I agree that it may be disappointing to find that Foundry does not have everything they have ever done posted on their website. However, every one of their main ranges is represented on their site (and nice photos too), which is more than I can say for many other manufacturers who still expect us to buy everything sight unseen (even their so-called most popular ranges). |

Well, if they want to actually sell them to someone, they might be more succesful at least telling that they have them available for sale. I have to admit that Foundry puts a lot of nice pictures of their ranges, and their website is not bad, though it could use some finetuning (like being a bit more specific on what their hordes contain). "(like being a bit more specific on what their hordes contain)." I assumed that the Hordes are made up of the castings that have not made up a full blister. Therefore they cannot give a 'specific' listing. |

When they started doing the hordes, they were loose figures in ziplock bags, probably just weighed since I always got a few extra ones. But lately a horde has mostly just been 10 random blisters from a given range. |

I know that their hordes do have a slightly varying contents, so they cannot be fully specific, but at least they could sometimes state from which range(s) it actually comes from... I also tend to find it slightly annoying that in the catalogue a lot of ranges are repeated on multiple periods, though that probably makes financial sense. Griefbringer |

I don't think the Afro-Caribbeans were enough packs to constitute a horde. However, I think it is great that they are still in production, in stock, and that we can order them at any moment without having to resort to the occasional Ebay offer. |

My rant at the hordes was not really directed at the Afro-Caribians. However, I have discussed with several persons who have refrained from getting certain Foundry hordes because they could not figure much about what the contents would be. Griefbringer |

This thread was started because many of us have been looking for additional Foundry or Foundry-compatible figures to use with our El Dorado and Sea Dogs. I recently discovered the Afro-Caribbean renegades on Ebay and, through a good friend, got a hold of 24. They were advertised by the seller as out of production and hard to come by. I am glad to find out that they are not out of production. Which means that I will be able to get more than the 24 originally acquired on Ebay. |

Confirmed pack numbers for the "El Dorado Afro-Caribbean Renegades":ED9 and ED10 I believe ED9 has mixed weapons, while ED10 has the archers. |

For those who want to game with figures of CIMARRONES, I have just added a photo to the Practical Soldier albums: link They are apparently Foundry "El Dorado Afro-Caribbean Renegades", not listed on the web site but are available if requested by phone. Hope this helps. CC |

Actually, if they have the molds Foundry will cast you up anything. I called and got the Plains War Infantry last year and this year ordered ACW. Also, I think somebody on this thread is overstating the complexity of ordering a horde. If you order a pictish horde it comes for the Foundry Range of picts. If you order a mounted Apache horde it comes from the Mounted Apache packs. Likewise, if I order a Late Roman infantry horde, I am not going to get a bunch of pirates. You can also just call the toll free number and ask the guy who answers what you will get if you order. |
