How do the Empress miniatures compare to Perry size wise? Specifically I'm looking at the northwest frontier figures in each line. |

I think they would match up well. Both are what I would call 'slight' 28mm figures. See this post for a direct comparison of Perry cavalry (with Warlord heads) and Empress figures. TMP link |

Empress and Perry colonials fit pretty well together. Perry are a bit thicker. Here's a not very good pic showing Empress and Perry standard bearers:
