HELP WANTED ! Hi all, You maybe aware that I am in the middle of Project Jutland, I have managed to source virtually all the ships or credible alternatives for virtually everything, however I am struggling with a couple. I am looking for 1/2400 models of the British Destroyer Leaders of the Marksman and Faulknor class. Just in case I have missed anything in my searches has anyone got any suggestions for models ? Regards Ken yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk |

C-in-C sells Marksman (as "Lightfoot class"). Faulknor will have to be a best approximation. Warren Bruhn started threads on TMP a few years ago to answer these kinds of questions as best they can be answered. Since TMP has no "sticky" threads, you have to bookmark them yourself: WWI 1/2400 Destroyers: TMP link WWI 1/2400 Dreadnoughts: TMP link WWI 1/2400 Pre-dreadnoughts: TMP link WWI 1/2400 Armored cruisers: TMP link WWI 1/2400 Light cruisers: TMP link - Ix |

Cheers everyone, I missed the Lightfoot when I was checking the obvious places, just need to try and get some to the UK. Wargames Emporium in Sheffield are down as UK retailers so I will try them first. Anyone in UK bought C in C before ? Regards Ken yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk |

The bit about HMS Broke, Faulknor, Botha, and Tipperary from my old 1:2400 destroyer thread is quoted here: 13. Broke & Faulknor destroyer leaders – these are the same as the Panzerschiffe Chilean Almirante Lynch class for $1.50 USD USD US each, which can be found in the catalog under WW1 other. The very similar Botha and Tipperary could be represented by the same Lynch class model, but the placement of the guns would be wrong. That won't matter much if the model is painted a very dark grey, as it would be hard to see the gun positions anyway. At least the size and funnels would be right for Tipperary (sunk at Jutland by the way). The price has gone up to $2.00 USD. I've got a couple of these models, and they're fine. Glad to have them. |
