Finished my third 19th century army (1877 Russians, 1862/1863 Union) and you can find the pictures at

Next up is10mm 1897 Greek Army, and slowly getting through a 10mm ACW Confederate Army. At the same time trying to finish an old 6mm Napoleonics project.

Great work on the Turks, Travlos. I recognise the figures from the Pendraken Egyptians for the Sudan range -eg standing firing and advancing at high porte. But what pack are the other figs in fez from -eg advancing with level rifle?

With thanks for the info because I'm looking for more pose variety in fez figs!

Very Nice!

They look very good! I've thought about an 1897 game with Turkish divisions and Greek brigades from time to time in addition to my 28mm single Greek and Turkish battalion. Out of curiosity, who do you plan to convert into Greeks?

Oh, in accordance with the wargamer's concept that, if they had a snappy uniform, they need to be modeled, even if they didn't make it on to the field, do you have any plans for doing the Guard Zouaves for 1897? B^)

Haha Grebler

No guard zouaves, though I will be using the 1877 uniforms for the 1897 Redif so you will have them.

Greeks, I made a massive 19th century smaple order from Pendraken so I can look which make the best proxies (not that hard in 10mm). For Evzones I will probably try to modify Hungarian 1859 infantry in kittle and hope against hope that someone will do 10mm Evzones in the future.

Nice looking army, Constantinos! Now hope they can win some battles.

Hi Grelber,

Since you're thinking about 1897 games, have you seen Konstantinos's nice scenario for the battle of Velestino (1897)?

And his report here:

And for a bigger 1897 battle of course there is the Domokos scenario in "Bloody Big European Battles" which pits five Ottoman divisions against two Greek.
