Wonder who they got the moulds from.

Wait, they own the molds already but still need money to produce the figures? I assume they mean they need to buy casting equipment?

Dunno, just sounds a little odd to me.

Here is last week's thread from the KS organizer, who never returned to answer any questions.

My question remains….if you already own the molds why do you need to do a kickstarter? Open a web shop and cast to order….

10 guys for $30 USD with shipping. Hmmm You think they could have at least painted them. 30 of their guys for $90. USD 30 Bolt Action guys for $41. USD Granted, there plastic, but half price.

EC: my point exactly in the referenced thread.

Meh! I'll pass.

Is it just me or do the numbers not add up for his last Kickstarter? Weird.

Could simply be to enable them to make the initial stock – both metal and time – before sales start to cover the costs.

I noticed that "19th Century Miniatures" joined TMP last week. Maybe one of the Steves could shed some light on the subject.

Joe, thx, I thought I recognized the figures!

I thought both Steves had stepped back form running the company and handed it over to Jason. N'est-ce pas?

Could be,I haven't seen them in several years. I see they just put their Quality Casting molds on the Marketplace. Maybe they sold the WWII to these guys.

Hafen von Schlockenberg08 Apr 2016 2:05 p.m. PST

Huh. It was there this morning. Did anyone else see it,or was I hallucinating?

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP08 Apr 2016 4:16 p.m. PST

Yes, I saw it.

Hafen von Schlockenberg08 Apr 2016 5:38 p.m. PST

Wha' happened, I wonder?

This topic is everywhere…

Again, I would imagine there is a lot of start up cost taking on a line this size and maybe trying to re-coup some of the buy in so I can see why a KS.

Looks like the $85.00 USD deal is the best if I am looking at this correctly…

4 x 10 man infantry squad
1 x 3 man command squad
1 x 4 man mortar team
1 x 4 man Anti-tank rifle team (1 team moving & one deployed)
1 x 2 man tank hunter team

That is not bad, about a $1.60 USD USD not including the other loose parts.

I wonder if Henry Ford would've ever gotten his car business off the ground if he had to rely on a kick starter program?

Whatever happened to good old American self investment, mortgage the house, borrow money from the parents or a bank.?

Maybe I'm just a little sour on the KS business as the last time (first time) I tried this, the product was supposed to be delivered November 2015. I'm still waiting.
