Anyone else get these letters? They pretty much say if they owe you anything you're not going to get it. Don't know why I got one of these, I was one of the lucky ones who got what I ordered.

I've gotten two, one with the owners' names, one with the business names. I reviewed my orders with them, and likewise have received everything I have ordered, up to and including an order placed in November.

There have been other threads. Basically if you were on their list as a customer/vendor/retailer/supplier you'll get one.

In a previous lifetime I was a VP in commercial lending at Fidelity National Bank(name has long since changed). It is standard procedure for the attorney representing the bankrupting parties(debtor)to present to the Bankruptcy Court a list of ALL POSSIBLE creditors, customers, or anyone who could have a claim on the assets. I assume they got your name from the KS list.

The reason for this is that if you leave off a potential creditor from the filing then their debt(that creditor) will not be discharged in the BK proceedings and the Debtor will still owe the debt as well as forfeiting the BK protection from a judgement filed to collect the debt.

So, if you were owed product or money and you haven't received notice, wait until the BK is discharged and then you can file legal action to obtain a judgement against the principals.

This is why everybody is receiving a notice, the attorneys are simply doing their job to protect the debtor.

Yes I received two letters and like others they don't owe me anything. I figured that I received them because I purchased items from them from their online store.

People are getting two letter because there are 2 different bankruptcy proceedings one for the company (Robot Peanut Studios which owns AofW and Alien Dungeon) and one for the Bakers personally. Dave from Stone Mtn is right the lawyers are including everyone they've got contact info to try an ensure all of the debts can be discharged.

Despite some questionable actions in the end to try to save the business this is all very sad and I shall miss their presence at the HMGS con's
