For this year's pre Christmas game I've decided to set up Mollwitz. I know, it should be a white table with icicles dripping from the gables of Mollwitz and Grunningen, but I don't have a white cloth: We'll just have to imagine the scene.

It still looks good though! If I say so myself.

Just refought this battle using Black Powder….like you I left the table top green! I do have a white cloth but then the troops bases are green which would look silly!
The Prussians won in a close encounter…the Austrian cavalry attack on the left wing, after initial success was defeated by the Prussian Grenadiers

Your set up looks great!

I'm surprised. You have to be one of the most industrious miniatures gamers on the planet, my tempremental opposite. Early this year I created a winter landscape with bare trees and brown bushes in about a month. Surely the incomparable James Roach could do it in a few days…

When you do decide to make a snowscape I hope to see a tutorial. For my winter fields I had to settle for brown grass because I couldn't find white enough snow. It turns out white felt and white fleece are way too transparent.

This is the posting from last year that inspired me to finally get a winter landscape together: TMP link

Maybe it will inspire you too. <poke> <prod> <nudge> :-)

I've always fancied a winter-scape, but the periods I do don't warrant the expense for the very occasional battle. Perhaps one day but, there is so much to do and so little time, I'm concentrating on upgrading and adding to my other terrain at the moment. Last week I ordered 25 feet of latex track from Early War Miniatures – so painting and edging that up is my next terrain job. At last, roads that will go over hills!

but those cupboards behind …. DROOOOL …..

They are just fairly cheap CD cabinets from Argos, I think I got them in a sale for £40.00 GBP each.

The cabinets at the other end of the room, now they are good. They will hold about 2500 figures each
