A new range of Loyd carriers including early pattern tow's for 2 pounder ATG's (Great for early desert war stuff where you mount the gun shield on the side of the carrier!) through to later tows for 6 pdr ATG's, Infantry carriers both early and late and including the 4.2 inch mortar tow with 10-cwt trailer and mortar.

Some new crew figures and gunners have also been added to compliment the detail in this release of the whole family of Loyds. Loyds were used on all fronts from the desert battles of later 1941 onwards.
These models have all the detail bilt into them, creating a really fast build kit. The main vehicle has 5 parts including a driver and took us 58 seconds to build. 2 minutes is more typical.

Early pattern Infantry carriers and 2 pounder ATG tows.

Those look sweet. Nicely redone and updated from the former Skytrex range.

The models look very nice, the 4.2-inch mortar carrier and 6-pr tows especially.

I don't think myself that the Loyd is appropriate for North Africa however. The standard transport in NA for the 2-pr atk gun for 1941 into 1942 was the 3-ton Portee, both in Inf or Motor Bns and Atk Regts proper. The first time the Loyd appears as an official tow for the 2-pr was with the late 1942 Recce Regt, so 1st Army may have used some in the desert at the end of 1942, into 1943, but I don't think 8th Army did.
