As some of you may be aware, July was 'He-Month' – full details can be found here:

So, now I've got some figures, I want to play with them. Having looked around, I'm leaning towards the Pulp Alley ruleset. For those of you who own it, would it be suitable for a Masters of the Universe themed game? And would I need the Perilous Island expansion to ensure that Skeletor's sorcerous powers were correctly depicted?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I reckon it would be a pretty good fit. Most leagues have one big hero, a sidekick and lesser minions – does that fit your vision for a team?

Not familiar with Skeletor's sorcery us repertoire, but Perilous Island does have some great abilities that fit very nicely with magic-users. You could always buy the base set to start with and see if you can get some powers for him from that, then grab Perilous Island later.

Definitely recommend the main book along with Perilous Island. Should give you everything you need.

For fantasy and sci-fi settings we recommend adding an extra starting ability to all characters. This helps to add a bit more flavor and pushes the characters into the truly larger-than-life realm.

It's funny, I've been wondering the same thing lately. I think the Pulp Alley rules might be a very good fit.

Look like Pulp Alley will be my next rules purchase, as I've already had a response on a previous query whther it would be good for Scooby Doo. Is there anything Pulp Alley can't be used for? Perhaps they could use that in the marketing "Pulp Alley – Like Orange Juice, It's Not Just Pulp"

Hmm…might need to work on that one…
