I found this picture while looking for something else and thought that this would be great in any scale.. (Since I play 6mm, 15mm 28mm.) What are your thoughts?

Angel Barracks makes an articulated armored vehicle in 6mm scale, and Reviresco Miniatures makes several land-trains in that same scale. |

I am thinking less Bolo/Ogre sized and more squad.platoon sized carrier. |

That looks like it could even be modular – need to take a bigger unit, just add a couple cars, like a train. There would be a limit to how many based on terrain of course, but on the steppe you might hook up 6 or 8 cars to transport an entire platoon…. I could even imagine using the detached cars as emplaced guns… |

Nice. Reminds me of a sleeker version of an Epic Squat Land Train. Offspring of a Squat+Cylon+Aliens accident? |

Old crow have a modular vehicle that is very configurable with gun turrets armoured and unarmoured segments. Here is a version of it (image linked from the Hammers slammers: the crucible website)
he has since remastered it and it is available (when I spoke to him in October) in 15 and 28mm. HTH Soldado |

That thing reminds me of Dead Reckoning from Land of the dead. |

What is the advantage of this sort of vehicle? The segmentations would make weakpoints wouldn't they? |

What is the advantage of this sort of vehicle? Aside from the 'kewl' factor, there's the justification GW had for land trains, used by a noble race that never existed, continuous cross support in treacherous territory. Oh, and in case you didn't get the memo, Han shot first. Doug |

Legion 4, yea I saw that but again, that's bigger then I wanted. Soldado, PERFECT!!! How did I forget about that… I spent 3 months ordering from Jez this fall and saw this thing many times. I'll have to hit him up for some pics and prices… And the "Kewl" factor is always a plus!! |

I just ordered a three segment version of the Legion vehicle from him and it was the usual no-hassle, great to work with transaction that Jez provides. |
