I seen several different versions of the Philly Associators flag. Which one did the infantry carry, if any?

First I would go by the precedent of the Philadelphia Light Horse.

So, the Union in the canton was defaced to show rebellion.

I had some thoughts on this a few years ago.

Seymour's book on the Associators

has a [plate or two showing a battalion or two on duty before the Revolution.
They appear to be carrying what look like British regimental colors, with allegorical fields and the Union in the canton.
Following the precedent of the Light horse, the Union would be defaced.

BTW, when I get around to MY Asociators, I will be getting a battalion from you.
I am torn whether to base them for my Age of Reason games or my TSATF games and pounce on British in Joisey skirmishes like in Fischer's Washington's Crossing.

I had the Flag Dude make up a couple of flags for me for them once. I had found the flags somewhere but I can't remember where I got the information from. They were light blue with emblems in the center, etc. If you contact him, maybe he still has the info.

John the OFM -- All those colored flags has gotten me quite randy.

Now I'd like to add a 28mm unit of Associators to my collection.

Which KMM figures do you plan to use for them?

Winston Smith14 Feb 2015 7:45 a.m. PST

Bill has some Continental uniform guys and a sprue of Associator heads.
I may also get a few sprues of heads and do head transplants on Old Glory Continentals.

TMP Search engine was NOT working last night. I was looking for this specifically. This morning, magically, it is:

One design I will be using will be the Penn coat of arms on a facing colored field, with a debased Union in the canton.

I would follow Winston's recommendations for OMM figures. I already have 2 battalions using Old Glory Marines.
