I have a missing minis order and neither their contact page nor phone number seem to be working.

Anyone else had problems?

komradebob one way or another please post back any info.

komradebob26 Sep 2014 3:42 p.m. PST

I will.

I hope it's nothing major. I've done orders through them before with nothing but success but it has been two months and no contact from them even after emailing and the phone number doesn't seem to have anyone answering nor any voicemail.

:(

14Bore26 Sep 2014 3:48 p.m. PST

I've used them often, last one in January (winter is my most productive time) but looking for more soon.

komradebob27 Sep 2014 3:56 p.m. PST

I would recommend against ordering. I suspect they're out of business, but Papal put my payment through anyway, hence me being out $100 USD :(

No answer by phone, email, nor facebook page

jowady27 Sep 2014 5:12 p.m. PST

I would report this to paypal.

komradebob27 Sep 2014 8:49 p.m. PST

Just did so.

Everybody else be warned!

If anyone else knows how to contact anyone associated with this business, let me know how to reach them.

Thanks.

Happy News!

Okay, so these guys are next to impossible to contact through the usual channels. For whatever reason, the warweb info _and_ the Paypal info for them seem to be dead.

OTOH, I finally put 2 and 2 together and realized Warweb, Grandiosity, and Old Glory 15s are all the same place, went to the Oldglory15s site and found a different phone number.

That one did work, and the problems were very quickly resolved a few minutes ago with a very short phone call to a very helpful guy named David at OG15s.

So yeah, go ahead and order from these guys. I guess I was just the unlucky random statistic in this case.

I just went through what you are going through. Didn't get my ordered and tried various ways of getting a hold of them. Finally got my money back through paypal.

cytaylor01 Oct 2014 4:49 a.m. PST

you are not the only one. I ordered 12 weeks ago. After 6 or 7 weeks I called, and was told the order would ship soon. Now after 12 weeks, no answer on the phone for several days. Filed with Paypal today. I wouldn't deal with any of them again.

PVT64101 Oct 2014 8:13 a.m. PST

True enough. Still waiting for my back ordered items even though ordered in May and not shipped till Sept.:

I live in Michigan and go to their monthly game days from time to time. They are a good, friendly group of guys, but I have read all the difficulties people have been having with orders. I am hoping to get over there this month. I don't know how much "clout" I have, but I can let them know about the discord.

cytaylor04 Oct 2014 1:28 p.m. PST

I called OG 15's /19th century miniatures, and was told my order had been returned due to postage ( insufficient) I suppose. Received it today. 13 weeks. If Grandiosity/War Web is run by someone else, why don't they change the contact info on the website – the phone number listed rings and rings – no answer, message, nothing. Sending an email doesn't work either. Very bad customer relations by them for no reason. If they want to run a business, they should do a better job.

komradebob05 Oct 2014 5:38 a.m. PST

Yeah, they definitely need to step up their game where it comes to customer relations and contact methods.

I accept that made-to-order can take longer than something that can be pulled from a bin, packed and shipped. That doesn't bother me so much.

What bothers me is the lack of follow up when something is running late.

When started this thread, I honestly believed this a case where the company had gone out of business entirely, taking my money with them.

That's how bad their contact and follow up system is right now.

It has been my experience they keep very little stock on hand. That is one of the things which slows down service. In past years they would at least tell you that and give you some idea when the order would be filled.

In all the years have been doing business with them they eventually filled all orders but the key word is eventually.

komradebob09 Oct 2014 10:58 a.m. PST

I'll post updates as they occur, since some of you also seem to have had problems.

So far, since that nice phone conversation that had assuaged my concerns back on the 29th…nothing.

No joy in the mail so far. Crossing my fingers.

PVT64114 Oct 2014 11:09 a.m. PST

Any further update? I still have back orders from an order from May.

komradebob20 Oct 2014 6:24 p.m. PST

Nope. Still nothing. :(

komradebob22 Oct 2014 12:01 p.m. PST

PVT641:
Contacted them again today. What I've been told is that only some of the stuff is cast in-house, so another company was doing a part of the order and that was the hangup.

In any case, they're now sating they can ship the partial order and send the rest whenever the other company catches up to it, which is better than nothing.

I do wish they'd offered this solution earlier, but, otoh, these things do happen.

I suggest giving them a call through the number at the oldglory15s site and asking what the situation is, as you may have gotten caught up in something similar.

FWIW, I once waited 6 months for part of an order from Warlord Games, and apparently they're a much bigger company. I empathize with your frustration.

PVT64123 Oct 2014 10:56 a.m. PST

Komrade:

Thanks for the update.

komradebob02 Nov 2014 6:21 a.m. PST

As of yesterday, I received part of my order.

Which, so far so good. That makes me happy. Not sure when or if I'll ever see the rest, as that is the part made off-site.

I don't think I'll order anything from them again without first checking to see who does the casting ( in-house or offsite).

designernorth04 Dec 2014 10:07 a.m. PST

No response at all from Warweb/Grandiosity about my order placed in September. I wish I had read this forum earlier. The outfit is either out of business or a fraud organization. Now I will dispute the credit card charge with my cc company.

komradebob08 Jan 2015 9:46 a.m. PST

2 Months since I last posted.

The rest of the order is still missing.

Now, no one answers at OG15s ph# either.

I've sent one last e-mail, demanding the product or a refund.

I'm giving them until next Wed to respond.

If there's no response to that, I'm gathering documentation, and sending a registered letter.

After that, I'm exploring legal options, including reporting them for fraud.

I recommend other buyers who have been stiffed follow suit.

Maybe if they start getting enough emails and registered letters in rapid succession, they'll sit up and take notice and at least clear up these really outstanding orders.

designernorth09 Jan 2015 9:20 a.m. PST

I have little hope for outstanding orders to be filled. From what I've read on these posts is that people are making disputes through Paypal and credit cards companies. If Paypal and cc companies drop Warweb and refuse to deal with Warweb maybe that will get their attention, along with some registered letters.
