I placed an order for several packs of Blue Moon AWI figures from these folks 5/29/14. I have not had problems with these folks in the past, however I am still waiting for my order. I did not get any response to my emails inquiring on status until 7/9/14. They were going to look into what the hold up was at the manufacturer. I have heard nothing since despite several additional emails(1 a week). No when I call the number on their website I get no answer or answering machine.

have received orders for them in past with no problems and planed another in the very near future. Keep posted on any changes. They can be a little slow for instance last order made one with them and one with Monday Knight and received the one from Monday Knight much faster, but it wasn't a problem.

Uh, sorry to say I had to file a Paypal dispute -- which was almost immediately resolved in my favor -- for something I ordered in May, and hadn't received by the end of June.

I had the same experience with the phone and email, and as you may or not know, Paypal's dispute procedure starts out letting the 2 parties message each other. I sent them 2 inquiries, which got no response. I can only suppose they've packed it in.

I should add that I have had good service from them in the past.

Paul7230 Jul 2014 1:46 p.m. PST

Thanks for posting this. I'm going through the same thing. I put in an order back in May and haven't heard anything back from them yet after a couple attempts to make contact. I'll definitely pursue the Paypal dispute procedure.

rmcaras Supporting Member of TMP30 Jul 2014 1:48 p.m. PST

why not order direct from Old Glory?

Garand30 Jul 2014 2:07 p.m. PST

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I ordered from them in the past, and got good service. But the last couple of years of my relationship with Warweb saw me constantly having to email them about order status and the like. So I no longer do business with them and have found other outlets for my purchases. Their prices are good, but when I have to wait 4-6 weeks for my order, the discount no longer seems so good. I've found other on-line vendors, like Noble Knight and Great Hall (which I just tried recently, completely satisfied) with much faster turn-arounds and service.

Damon.

Striker30 Jul 2014 2:17 p.m. PST

Didn't Warweb change ownership in the last 2 years or so? I used to go to them for most of my purchases but haven't since reports of bad experiences started coming up.

Grumpy Monkey30 Jul 2014 6:41 p.m. PST

Yes they did Striker, and ever since it's been in steady decline IMO anyway

PVT64130 Jul 2014 7:04 p.m. PST

Thanks for the Paypal dispute idea.

Buckeye AKA Darryl31 Jul 2014 5:16 a.m. PST

Since the newer owners took over a few years ago, the service has been horrific. I sent two emails to them several weeks ago with some questions, no reply, and no response when I mentioned their lack of response here on TMP. And that is not my first time in dealing with their poor customer service.

Bah. That's too bad – they used to be one of the really good ones.

Who asked this joker31 Jul 2014 9:32 a.m. PST

I've had good service from them in the past. Shame if they've folded up.

PVT64131 Jul 2014 10:15 a.m. PST

They have not folded. I got one response a month ago saying that they were looking in to it. Crickets since then.

Tom Bryant31 Jul 2014 10:31 p.m. PST

They're still around. In fact thy're located a oouple of miles from me. If you would like to drop me a line at pencamps AT gmail DOT com I can go over there and see if I can get any info for you.

PVT64101 Aug 2014 5:31 a.m. PST

Thanks Tom! Email sent.

pedZman02 Aug 2014 2:00 p.m. PST

Hi Tom,

Can I trouble you for the same? I have also ordered from Warweb and have not heard from them for updates via email or paypal. This was 2 almost months ago.

VicCina Supporting Member of TMP04 Aug 2014 12:49 p.m. PST

Hi Tom,

Could you do the same for me as well? I am having the same issue.

Quadratus11 Aug 2014 6:32 p.m. PST

just about to hit the paypal button when I thought to check in on TMP.

SOOOOOOO Glad I did!

pedZman14 Aug 2014 3:56 a.m. PST

Hi,

Just an update. I was pleasantly surprised to have recieved my order today after more than 2 months in the dark. I read in some forum that says warweb eventually delivers. But the total lack of communication and uncertainty left a bad taste and I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

Thanks Tom if you got the time to drop by their shop and give feedback on our missing orders.

Raf

PVT64115 Aug 2014 11:18 a.m. PST

Still waiting on mine. Perhaps it came today.

PVT64118 Aug 2014 5:42 a.m. PST

Not yet.

VicCina Supporting Member of TMP18 Aug 2014 10:43 p.m. PST

I received mine as well a few days ago. Was rather surprised.

Inkpaduta27 Aug 2014 3:36 p.m. PST

I ordered some stuff over a month ago, man I wish I had known about these problems prior to that. Same problem as you all, I have called and e-mailed and heard nothing. I'll wait a few weeks more and then go to paypal if nothing has come.

PVT64129 Aug 2014 6:01 a.m. PST

Thanks to Toms intercession my order is supposed to ship any day. Nothing has arrived nor any further contact from Warweb either.

Inkpaduta05 Sep 2014 6:24 a.m. PST

Well I started a claim against Warweb with Paypal.
Five weeks waiting, no answer to my phone calls, no answer to my e-mails and the final kicker is they don't even have my order listed on my account. Hopefully I can get my money back but I will never use them again.

PVT64105 Sep 2014 7:28 a.m. PST

Still nothing here either. Tom is following up with them again on my behalf.

Capt John Miller06 Sep 2014 3:51 p.m. PST

I ordered back in June a few packages of minis. My order is acknowledged and a receipt exists, but despite the email and phone calls, I have nothing. Do you know if I can start doing something with my credit card company?

PVT64108 Sep 2014 11:58 a.m. PST

Capt. If you paid by credit card, I do not see why you would not be able to call them about it. I used Paypal so am way over the 45 days and am stuck.

PVT64109 Sep 2014 4:49 a.m. PST

I received a box from Warweb yesterday. What I do not understand is if the delay is from their having to order from the manufacturer, how after 4 waiting months are there items back ordered out of the order when everything ordered is from the same manufacturer?

cplcampisi09 Sep 2014 6:07 p.m. PST

Hmmm. Wish I had seen this a month ago. In the past I've always had good service with them. I placed an order (mostly Old Glory figures), 4 weeks ago, and I've received no communication or indication that the order is/will be shipped.

Interestingly, I paid with a credit card (not paypal), and I haven't seen any charge go through on that account. I guess that's a good thing -- although I expected to have the minis by now. I'm reluctant to order from another company, without first canceling the order from warweb (which seems difficult if there's no communication). I guess I'll bug them a few more times.

Inkpaduta10 Sep 2014 10:13 a.m. PST

Paypal tells me that Warweb has till Monday to respond to my claim. So far heard nothing (sound of wind and and sage brush rolling by).

Inkpaduta16 Sep 2014 6:12 a.m. PST

Paypal settled the dispute in my favor. Never heard anything from Warweb. Clearly I will never do business with them again.

PVT64129 Oct 2014 7:20 a.m. PST

Still waiting on what is back ordered from my 5/29/14 order and zero contact from Warweb since July. Horrendous customer service!

cplcampisi07 Nov 2014 8:06 p.m. PST

I still haven't heard anything from them about my order, placed in August. I have a friend who placed an order about two months ago, and got it right away . . .

I can't even contact them to cancel the order. I worry that months from now they'll charge my debit card, which makes me reluctant to try to get the miniatures from some place else. :-/ Frustrating situation, they used to be very good.

PVT64110 Nov 2014 8:45 a.m. PST

Still waiting on what is back ordered from my 5/29/14 order and zero contact from Warweb since July. Now I have not even been getting any response from the contact that I did have that was able to get me what I did receivee from the order.

Mercurio13 Nov 2014 4:05 a.m. PST

Hi, I'm in Switzerland, and the prices of warweb, included shipment, are far better than the ones from old glory's web site. this is the reason why ordering from them. Unfortunately, I placed three orders in late October, I received the mails confirming the orders, but since then, no way to get any answer from them.
I will still wait one week and then will go for a dispute with Paypal guys.

designernorth04 Dec 2014 10:09 a.m. PST

Yes, be wary. I had placed orders with Warweb/Grandiousity some years earlier with no problem. But now they take your money but don't deliver. Nor do they respond to any attempt to contact. Beware indeed. No more business with them from me.

paulgenna10 Dec 2014 3:01 p.m. PST

I use to order quite a bit from Warweb but I will not do business with them again. My order from May and June have been mostly sent but not all of it. I suspect the paint will never get to me.

komradebob08 Jan 2015 9:40 a.m. PST

I mentioned it in another thread on this same topic, but I have sent one last email to Warweb regarding an order I mad in July of 2014. I'll give it until next Wed.

If I haven't gotten email back from them, the next step is registered mail. If that still doesn't work to get product or refunds, I'm going to explore legal options. There are way too many people in these threads who have experienced this same non-delivery nonsense.

I'm pretty sure that this behavior falls within the realm of mail or wire fraud. If I have to, I'll file a complaint for exactly that.

What is especially frustrating is that even a simple e-mail of acknowledgment of previous attempts by me to contact them and resolve the issue would have at least garnered some sympathy from me, assuming there were real problems they were working through. Too late for that now.

Wildbillpaints29 Mar 2015 4:16 p.m. PST

There's a local hobby shop that orders old glory 15s for me here in San Antonio. I spoke with the owner yesterday as I had an order placed with him for nearly 8 months now. Well, evidently their casting machine partly broke last year, and as a result they're working at 25% capacity. They had to custom order a part from somewhere in Europe, which is supposedly somewhere on a ship or dock in the Eastern US.

This doesn't explain, of course, why paint orders are going unfulfilled, nor why they are being less than communicative (both Grandiosity and Warweb have ignored multiple emails from me). Either way, I've started ordering from Blue Moon. Those guys communicate well and have (or will have) nearly all the selection in 15mm that OG has/had.

Sorry to say I used Warweb for 9 years now, and won't be going back. It's sad to see they're simply turning their backs on their customers.

komradebob19 Apr 2015 5:37 a.m. PST

As an update:

As of yesterday, after having thoroughly given up on Warweb, I got a box of minis out of the blue from them, the final part of my order that was placed in July 2014!

The minis were an alternate selection, one I had suggested I'd settle for after I was forced to snail mail them in January of this year.

So, in one sense, they did make good, and I commend that.

At no point did they ever communicate back to me. Phone calls were largely useless ( I did have one contact, through the number for OG15s, that got a partial order delivered in early December 2014-the only time I actually had anyone pick up the phone at all). Email was never answered, and no explanation ever forthcoming.

So… I won't order from them again until I start hearing good things about them from others, like that their communications have improved. Even then, I doubt I'll order anything that they don't cast themselves or can confirm is in stock before I order.

I wish them luck. I am pleased to see that they did eventually send something, but not a company I would recommend to a friend.

Ideas on how to cancel an order from them?

randy5124 Jun 2015 10:59 a.m. PST

"Ideas on how to cancel an order from them?"

Seeing as how they rarely either answer e-mails or phone calls I'd say no, not from them directly. If you've done your order via Pay Pal
then open a claim. I recently had to do this As I've given up on ever receiving my purchase.

Very frustrating because I'd always used them in the past with absolutely no problems. Apparently sometime in the last few years they've either switched owners or the people who work there have changed.

thedisgruntledfusilier20 Aug 2015 8:01 a.m. PST

I wish I would have read this prior to my last order with them. Going through the same thing now.

komradebob25 Aug 2015 7:16 a.m. PST

I finally received my initial order ( from late summer 2014) last week.

Right, over a year after having ordered it. Somewhat longer than the 2-3 weeks to cast the minis noted on their ordering page!

It was the full order…sorta.

A couple of things:
1) They already sent me a partial order in December of 2014, so now I have doubles of part of the order.

2) After sending a letter ( good lawd it is 2015, right???), I ended up with alternatives to the initially missing packs in the late spring of 2015.

3) When the order came, one of the packs was still wrong. I wanted West Wind Soviet Scouts. I got West Wind US Paras. Lovely minis, but not much useful for my Soviet Scout platoon!

4) The entire time, no actual communication from Warweb at all by email, post, or phone even with repeated attempts from my end.

I'm glad they tried to make good on this. I think it speaks better of them than I'd been allowing for, but I still won't order from them again.

My quandary now is whether to ship back these extras to them or not…

acctingman186925 Aug 2015 8:49 a.m. PST

This place needs to just close shop. Absolutely horrible service, if any at all.

komradebob25 Aug 2015 10:01 a.m. PST

A lot of their problems could be solved with decent communication and a willingness to only take on what they can actually handle in terms of orders.

Being willing to do refunds or partial refunds in a timely fashion would help, too.

Going to a single website/webstore instead of multiples might be nice as well.

Dunfalach29 Aug 2015 6:30 p.m. PST

Can someone confirm for certain whether OldGlory15s and Warweb are the same people? I'd gotten a response when contacting OldGlory15s recently, but none at all from Warweb, despite my Warweb orders actually being made earlier than the OG15s order.
