Gentlefolk, The link started here: TMP link I just finished reading the third book E-printed so far, in what is supposed to be a mini-five book series by Britt Ringle and all I can say is…WOW ! While the writing style is quite different, it is the best pure Sci-Fi I have read since the "Small Colonial War" trilogy by Frezza. The action is non-stop, with a back story slowly filled in at critical points and while "politics" does play a (vital) role, it compliments the text, unlike David Weber and some others (Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen series)who use politics to overwhelm the story. (I DO however, very much enjoy the "your government could be wrong, even evil" aspect that slowly comes to the fore). Considering the price of the books, you're getting a very high calibre of writing, a terrific theme, plot and plot twists. Well worth the $10 USD spot you have to spend for the 3 books to date. HIGHLY Recommended! |

I agree 100% I am very much looking forward to whatever Mr. Ringel writes in the future. |

Thanks Andrew! I saw your first thread and meant to buy the book, then forgot about it. Then for a few days it was driving me crazy, I knew I wanted a book, but could not remember what. Xin |
