I am afraid that once again this year that the banner is horribly offensive to the citizens of both Japan and the U.S. West Coast.

I did not get a Harrumph out of that guy!

P.S. This is my favorite TMP holiday! Lets all gather around the blast template for the airing of rants, ravings, and perceived offenses!

Better that than a banner celebrating the other "holiday" that is March 14:

A more relevant right hand image would be a Grand Slam bomb, since the first operational use of this extremely large conventional bomb (and thus something that pi would also be applicable to in terms of blast radius) was March 14th 1945.

I live on the West Coast of California, less than ten miles from the Pacific Ocean, and I see nothing wrong with the atomic blast shown on the headline for TMP. I look forward to seeing it again next year.

I am not sure I understand this thread at all. Is it some sort of joke?

The effects of all sorts of conventional HE weapons are expressed in blast areas, including quite small shells. The blast area of the 75mm round delivered by a 75L40 was 3300 feet. Using pi, you can work out the radius yourself as an exercise:)
