I'm considering buying a little of each and wondered if anyone could tell me if there was significant size difference and roughly how much? It it's just a millimeter or two in difference that is feasible.

I did this survey a month ago or so for Old West/ACW:

Battle Honours should fit between Essex and Old Glory in size based on my Napoleonics… Great figures by the way.

Blue Moon are very sturdy and make a lot of sense if you are doing a lot of gaming.

Judging by the above picture I think the Old Glory 15s AWI lines and ACW lines are not the same style of sculpt.

For AWI infantry, I think the Old Glory 15s and Blue Moon work as long as they are in different units. They are about the same height, but the Old Glory 15s are chunkier and the Blue Moons have better proportions so they are thinner looking. From what I understand the cavalry horses are much larger for Blue Moons than the Old Glory 15s.

Personally, if I was starting from scratch I would go with Blue Moon figures. Old Glory 15s are good, but I think the Blue Moon figures look more realistic and some of the uniform details seem more accurate too.

If you send me your email via PM I can take a side by side picture with my phone and send it to you. I have no objection to posting pictures, I just don't have a flicker type account.

General Sherman posted this comparison with the Old Glory 15mm French and Indian War line and the Blue Moon AWI line and it is a good comparison as the Old GLory FIW and AWI lines have the same sized sculpts:

Note the sizes of the heads and hats of the troops.

Thanks to everyone on the posts and the pics. I think I am going to go with Blue Moon since they have the variety of civilians for the era.
