I would really appreciate it if someone could post a photo or two comparing the Blue Moon 18s to the Old Glory 15s. Judging by a search result, I don't think I am the only one who would like to see the comparison. I need to add some highlanders and artillery and like the look of the Blue Moon figures, but most of my armies are Old Glory 15s or smaller so I would like to know how well they would look on the table together. Thank you in advance. |

I saw the Blue Moon figures at Little Wars this weekend. They are mighty fine looking figures so you can't go wrong with these. I know that this does not answer your question, but

The AWI old glory were significantly higher than the usual , say ACW/ nappy (except the very last ones). So I would not be surprised they'd work well together. It seems even that it was intended to, as the holes in the Blue moon line are filed by OG. Won't do for cavalry though. |

If it helps I can put together a comparison of Blue Moon AWI and Old Glory SYW. I don't have any old glory AWI. Bryan |

I don't have any pictures but I used the Jagers from the blue moon range for SYW prussian jagers and they fit in perfectly with my Old Glory 15's Prussians. The Old Glory 15's are closer to 18mm really. I'd be leary of using them with minifigs or Freikorps but you should be fine with OG. |

A Google search for size comparison between the two will pull up a number of blogs with photos. Good stuff. |

Bryan, That would be awesome. JC Frog, Why do you think the cavalry wouldn't work? If the mounted Blue Moons would work with the Old Glory 15 infantry, but not cavalry I would probably opt to get new Blue Moon cavalry. timurilank, All the comparisons I have found on Google are regarding the ACW line, and from what I understand, they vary quite a bit from the AWI lines in size. If you found an AWI link though that I missed, please let me know. I have searched multiple times. |

I am not sure but I read all the blue moons lines are not of the same size. The old glory horses are quite small; it seems the blue moon are more Eureka types. caution must prevail.I have many 15 mm for my AWI from freikorps to essex and pig and musket; the old glory cav did mix ok. would not bet so with blue moon. But it is good they did bigger horses. Or you remount them on bigger horses, I did that with nappys to fit AB. |

Re Jcfrog comment: I bought some Blue Moon mounted French officers to go with my SYW cavalry, but horses were significantly smaller, although really nice sculpts. Old Glory cavalry horses are tiny! The FIW Blue Moon infantry and Old Glory infantry are OK, but not in same units. Heights are similar, but bulkiness is different. |

Thank you Bryan!!!! Wow! Old Glory 15s are huge. I had no idea they were larger than the Blue Moon 18s. I need a couple of guns for my Old Glory artillery crews. Looking at this I am guessing the Blue Moon ones might work. |
