This is a follow-up to an earlier discussion thread: TMP link After a fairly extensive web search, I have managed to find a few very brief references to the Shieldbearer rule set. These indicate that the author's name was Michael J. Young, and that the rules were published in 1991. Does anyone here know the publisher's name? Any cover images and/or additional information? Many thanks, Scott |

have you got imperium – leopard heraldry rules? |

I dare say that Shieldbearer was self published. I have the "Version 2.1, Copyright Michael J. Young" (no further information regarding publisher). It is a "miniatures rulebook for mass battles set during the classical Greco-Roman era" to quote your other post, with some rules to expand it up to the medievals. Commercially-produced? It came at £5.95 GBP GBP with 50 odd pages, home-made clip binding, a QRS, index and so on. |

Many thanks, Olivero! @Maddaz111 – I have not heard of that title before. Could you expand on it a little, please? Cheers, Scott |

its a set of rules in its second edition, kind of like a version of Newbury, but smoothed out. It has been knocking around for ages, but the 2.1 edition has a couple of fixes for historical accuracy for hoplite/phalanx combat. Contact me via my email at the beasts of Bolsover bobminis.co.uk |
