For this years mega battle we are going to try and do Leipzig! Instead of one large table we will be setting up six tables that will be different sectors of the battle. Please let me know what troops people can bring and which table they would like to be on? The Battle of Leipzig or Battle of the Nations, on 16–19 October 1813, was fought by the coalition armies of Russia, Prussia, Austria and Sweden against the French army of Napoleon at Leipzig, Saxony. Napoleon's army also contained Polish and Italian troops as well as Germans from the Confederation of the Rhine. The battle marked the culmination of the fall campaign of 1813. 1. The Austrian attack on Lindenau to cut-off Napoleon's escape route 2. The Austrian attack to secure crossings on the Pleisse River, and outflank the French right wing in the south 3. The Prussian / Russian attack from the north (Mockern), which prevent Napoleon from concentrating on the Army of Bohemia (the southern battle) 4. The attempts by both sides to outflank the other army to the east of Liebertwolkwitz 5. The western half of the main battle to the south (Markkleeberg to Wachau) 6. The eastern half of the main battle to the south (Wachau to Liebertwolkwitz) Thanks, Richard Claydon |

This promises to be a huge spectacle! Your battle last year was very impressive with the table and the troops going on for as far as the eye could see. I look forward to see your efforts this year! Will you be using Black Powder for the rules? Mike |

What scale? Which rules? Which day? stephen |

The rules will be Black Powder, the scale 28mm and the game will run on Sunday morning like last year. Thanks for comments Mike that table was 18' long this year we would be too big for one table so we are breaking them up. Here are some photos of last years event TMP link Rich. |

Sounds very nice indeed. Can't beat Leipzig for variety of forces involved (even the British made it in very tiny representation) and ebb and flow of battle! Wish I could be there
