I just finished there be Dragons and it sort of put the bug into me to do SCW. I am done buying 28mm so what is there in lead 20mm for SCW?

Heres a start – ebhpc.com/figs.php

Priced right, nice figures that paint up well.

Cheers!

Try the Bandera range from Libersation:-

The Bandera range IS the same as HPC. Pat Condray licensed the line to Liberation in the UK.

Thanks,

John

Mike,
I have several hundred Bandera/HPC and Irregular SCW figures most of them are painted and based. I highly recommend both ranges. If you ever want to have a game let me know. So far I have finished CNT/FAI Militia, some Popular Army, Foreign Legion, Moroccans, Assault Guards, Guardia Civil, and International Brigades. I mainly lack tanks and armored cars.

Apology to Irish Marine,I have no intention of hijacking his post.A question for rvandusen or whoever is in knowledge;how many different poses are in a package of HPC figures?I think there are 24 figures in a pack.

rvandusen14 Oct 2012 9:10 p.m. PST

Usually about 5 to 6 poses, but it depends on the set. You can increase the number of poses by mixing some sets. For example, I have figures from the Communist 5th Regiment set mixed in with my Assault Guards. The regular Asaltos packs are depicted in peaked caps and a mix of coveralls and tunics. The 5th Regiment figures wear coveralls with a tasseled side-cap. Using Bueno as a reference I converted the 5th Regt. by painting the caps dark blue with white piping

HPC packs have 20 infantry or 10 Cavalry in them.

Add into the mix Plastics from BUM from Spain (quality varies) but the Spanish Legion and Republican infantry sets (the first two releases I think) are OK and very usable.

Warrior Miniatures from Scotland do a small range with some excellent cavalry IMHO.

Pity you live in the States, I have a large 20mm collection, mostly the old Hotspur range and lots of vehicles from various manufacturers. I don't use them anymore as I've gone over to 28mm. I believe HPC may well be the old Hotspur stuff and it's excellent.

I believe it is the same.

Thanks,

John
