….cavalry regiments, and lo-and-behold Osprey is sold out of both their US and CSA Cavalry books.

Anyone know of a web resource that can assist?

Thanks in advance.

I own over a dozen Osprey books and can't find a problem with any of them.

Bob is dead-on and I'd add Echos of Glory as well.

Troini's "Regiments and Uniforms of the Civil War" is a pretty good painting reference. link

It is also available as 4 seperate softcovers broken down into "Infantry", "Militia and Volunteers", "Zouaves, Chasseurs, Special Branches and Officers", and "Cavalry and Artillery"

Thanks.

$50 USD for the big book or $13 USD for the Cav/Arty book.

Hmmmmm…..

Yeah, I got them individually as I needed them myself.

Get Horse Colors. Made me understand the differences between breeds and colors.
