I'll start with this one. I think it could inspire awesome terrain for an SF, Pulp or VSF gaming board:
I think it's a poster of the Vincent Price film "War Gods of the Deep" (1965). Contrast these screeshots from the film, showing most of it sunken, but with pockets with breathable air.:
Now, how about you? Any inspiring paintings, drawings, etc., of sunken Atlantis? Thanks, Dan TMP link TMP link |

If you want a Norse version of a sunken city, there's the Helheim level from Tomb Raider: Underworld. Basically, it's a ruined road leading to a temple, with huge Norse warriors lining the route. All of this is deep beneath the Arctic ice. The picture and the video don't really do it justice. In the game, you can swim around and really take in the detail and sheer scale of it all.

@Flintloque: I was wandering the Lego site and saw those, too
Growing up is optional, growing old is mandatory. Not *technically* Atlantis, but

It's a pity Disney airs "journey to the Center of the Earth" so infrequently. I always enjoyed their portrayal of Atlantis at the film's climax! |

Mignola does Disney. I wish he had done more than just the cover to the comic book adaptation. |

I love the angled walls shown here in "Crom's" tomb, but for 1-inch tall corridors:
