The figures and basing are lovely, but I think those flags look awful. The fabric is far too coarse a weave for use at this scale.

Dropzonetoe Fezian22 Mar 2012 7:39 p.m. PST

You know its funny, I looked at the pictures and thought the miniatures look okay but the flags were great! The fabric was course enough to create a look I really liked.

Eye of the beholder and all that I suppose…

Edwulf22 Mar 2012 8:27 p.m. PST

I actually thought the flags stood out, very distinctive.

Yes!

I think the coarse look to the banner actually fits well with the miniatures themselves – slightly rough and ready but with a reality to them that is often lacking in the ultra smooth and technical painting that is currently popular.

Jagger23 Mar 2012 9:00 a.m. PST

Very nice. What manufacturer for those miniatures?

From main page.

"The minis are a mix, mostly old Games Workshop (Dogs of War range), Perry and some Crusader"

They are very nice looking troops.

I especially like the randomness of the poses on the bases, and not seeing clones in the force.

Hi every one Thanks for all nice comments!

Discovered that I got hits from this thread, glad that you found my minis from my Kalmar Union War project,
Thanks Armand !

About the banners, I use quite coarse linnen cloth to paint on, I have tried to paint on finer cloth but I dinīt feel that I got to see any texture, after all my painting are somewhat a Impressionism style, I want it to look rought and good on the gaming table not on a museum;)

I use all sort of minis, mainly Perry, but also Kingmaker, Games Workshop, Crusader, Curtesy, Black Tree, Claymore Castings, Gripping beast, Front Rank and probably some more that I forgott about…they of course diferense i size a little bit but I donīt mind, then they are painted and bases it looks good to me.

Hope to see you at my blog dalauppror.blogspot.com in the future:)

Here are some more pictures of my latest minis.

Best regards dalauppror
