Hi

After a few month of a SAGA breake I´m taking up Kalmar Union War project again, i.e. "Civil"war in Sweden during the middle of the 15th centery.

Its a 28mm project and I mostly uses Perry HYW and WOTR minis, mixes them up with several other manufacturs.

You can follow the Project at my Blog dalauppror.blogspot.com

Thanks Natholeon !

Glad you liked it:)

Here are some more pictures of Commanders

The First one will mostly represent the Danish Marshal Claus Rönnow.

The Yellow flag with the red cross are the official Kalmar Union banner, first mentioned by the King Erik of Pomeranian back in 1430´s

The second commander will mostly act on the rebell side as Nils Bosson Sture from the House Natt och Dag.

He often got the support from the Darlecarlian Allmoge, and they probably fought under a Saint olof banner.

The inspiration to the Saint Olof banner came from a Norwegian banner I found in a book about churches in Darlecarlia that was dedicated to Saint olof

Just posted some pictures of a unit of Mercenary Crossbowmen at my blog

Dalauppror16 Mar 2012 5:53 a.m. PST

Updated my blog dalauppror.blogspot.com with pictures of German mercenarys in Danish/Union service.

These will be mixed with already existing units so I can remove the crossbowmen I at first had in the units.

I want to have all Mercenary made up af the same type of troop, so only the Allmoge units are mixed.

I just had to paint some of the lovely Claymore Casting minis,as I needed 2 more command stands to some Allmoge units I took the opportunety to mix in 2 Claymore Casting minis on each base… Here are some pictures of the first one…

This represent Bengt Gunnarsson of the House of Gylta.

He was never dubbed to a Knight and remained a Squire all he´s life. Bengt are listed among the Swedish Privy Council in 1446 and was married with Martha Andersdotter of the House of Öra. With whom he had the son Peder Bengtsson.

Bengt turned allegiance in 1452 and got in Danish service. He was sentenced in contumaciam to death for treason by the Swedish King Karl Knutsson of House of Bonde in 1453, but Bengt was then in Denmark. He returned in 1458 after King Christian I's accession to the throne, but regained not his office.

As Bengt Gunnarsson of the House of Gylta was a traitor he will most often be seen in command of a Allmoge unit in Danish service…

Of course more pictures at dalauppror.blogspot.com

Best regards dalauppror
