I have just encountered the Shadowforge miniatures web site for the first time and some good-looking figures. However, I’ve no experience of this company and before I place an order I was wondering if anyone could give me some information about: 1 The quality - any good? (the figures certainly look very nice, but sometimes pics and a good paint job make the mini look better than it actually is). and 2 Their service - am I likely to be waiting forever, or can I expect a reasonable delivery time? Any information gratefully received. |

Service is exceptional. Casting and sculpt is excellent. The faces are a little cutesy, but you wouldnt be ordering from shadowforge if you didnt want cutesy =). They are available from Brigade games in the US also. The weapons are seperate and are of exact scale which is refreshing. |

Have some of his post apocalypse figs, very nice stuff, neat sculpts with lots of detail. Bit exey on the price but not unreasonable. (Gah! Im cheap ok!). I got mine at a con so I dont know about mail order but Im sure you will get a zillion posts telling you its fine. The nice old guy at the con was good to do business with and his stand was most excellent with a breathtaking painted example in neato background terrain for ever fig. Everything screamed 'A OK.' |

Can't speak for the mail order personally but the figures are superb. I've heard they are very quick on mail order from a friend - Oz to UK shipping. |

Let me add my voice too. Neil is great at acknowledging orders and getting them shipped promptly. I have received orders from Australia in less time than it takes for some vendors in the US. The quality of the figures is very high; I've never been disappointed with them. In fact, because of the service and quality, I have a large Dark Temple army of some 150 figures, about 20 Tribals that I'll be using for Prehistoric Settlement, all of the football teams, and all of the Old West figures. Also remember that the website prices are in Australian dollars. Even with shipping, the cost is frequently less than ordering from a distributor. For large orders, I always order directly from Shadowforge; for small orders (say under 20 figures), I order from Brigade Games. |

The minis are good quality, well cast, and nicely sculpted. They are fun to paint as well. I ordered from the web site and had the minis in hand in around two weeks. That is pretty good from Australia to south Texas. If in doubt, do a small order first or purchase from a distributor. The War Store also carries several of their ranges. HTH - Terrell |

Great figures, really fun stuff. You can order direct from them for great service or the Warstore in the US has them as well. Both will delivery very quickly. |

I'll heap on more of same about casting et al. However, the figs are quite a bit smaller than what's being passed off as 28mm now. They're even a bit smaller than old Necromunda models. |

OK as others have mentioned I unfortunately cannot comment about their Shipping & online store as I recently bought my miniatures from a B&M store here in Germany, but I find their figures SUPER!!! definitely give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Joe |

Neil has been a regular at almost every Sydney con and I've picked up many a mini from him, they are indeed rather nice, his Blood Bowl teams and his anime girls are very nice. |

I have some dark temple guards and a few dryads. They are very near 'true' 25mm and the realistic modelling of weapons make them a bit thin and flimsy (the metal appears to be quite soft). Otherwise as has been said before, very nice sculpting, casting etc. Will buy again. |

Sorry, swordlord, I don't have the same take on it at all. Weapons are indeed realistically sculpted but I've not broken a single one yet. They're quite sturdy and, although somewhat softer than some other manufacturers, the metal is not appreciably softer -- not as soft as the old lead figures, for sure. They're much bigger than true 25s. But not as big as some of the so-called "heroics 28s". I have a bunch of Denizen and Grenadier figures in 25 and they're nowhere near as tall as the Shadowforge figures. They are, however, smaller than most of the GW-sized figures. |

I've ordered figures from Shadowforge directly and from Brigade game and have had excellent service and shipping times from both. brigadegames.com |

I always buy my Shadowforge figures from Lon at Brigade Games, but even so Nic has several times answered questions for me via e-mail, and always been very quick and thorough in his replies. An excellent person to deal with. I have most of the Wild West figures and most of the fantasy football figs they do and absolutely LOVE them. And it's true that, while not as bulky as the "heroic 28s" done by GW, the Shadowforge figures are bigger than true 25mm figs. I've got some GZG stuff that's true 25 and Shadowforge are bigger. |

Neil at Shadowforge is A1. I live in the UK and figures ordered Sunday would arrive the following Thursday. This is quicker than normal postage within the Uk. Qulity of castings is very good with some excellent animation. |

I've ordered from Shadowforge to the U.S. twice, both were excellent transactions. They communicate quite well and deliver on the schedule they promise. I ordered the bunny football and gridiron footbal teams. All the minis are fantasic. The bunnies paint up quite well, though the bunny ears on the helmets area bit fidgety and tend to pop off. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. |

No complaints from me. I ordered their female elf team for BB a couple of years ago and they were shipped fast (for Australia). The minis were excellent, with no flashes or miscasts whatsoever. |

Bought two sets of Female Space Marines, Chaos Egyptians and cultists from them on two different occasions - friendly and GREAT Customer Service. Not a hitch and lightning fast shipping from Oz to the USA, faster than many eBay transactions that "claim" priority 3-5 day shipping. |

Another happy customer here- prompt service last time I ordered. I'm personally a fan of the poses, which show a degree of animation most other companies just don't have. |
