Have any photos to inspire us? Also . . . - What alien figures did you use? How many? - What human troops? Or did you use "civilian" resistance fighters? How many? - What buildings? - Did you battle in an urban setting? Something else? - How big a table did you use? - What rules did you use? - Any other tips? Thanks, Dan TMP link PS. You guys might enjoy this (from the series "Curiosity"): YouTube link |

Still working on the project, in 15mm, e.g. collecting pieces, but planning on the UFO TV show, and SHADO forces vs. the aliens.
- GZG Light Vacc Troopers for the aliens – closest approximation yet - GZG Heavy Vacc Trooper for the Moonbase astronauts - Some of the Rebel Minis Black Widow Mercs (sans their capes), for the Moonbase girls - Not sure what to use for SHADO HQ or Security Troops yet, on Earth (need some figures in running/warm-up suit style clothing). May press some Khurasan Colonial Marines into service for a more balanced, and well-equipped follow-on force for Earth-based ground troops (e.g. with helmets, some light body armor, etc.). - Need some civilians too, in ultra-modern clothing (sadly, nothing seems to fit the mold, currently) - Konami vehicles for the UFOs, SHADO Mobiles, Sky One, and Moonbase Interceptors.
The Mobiles work pretty well for 15mm scale, and possibly the UFOs but the other vehicles are probably more like 10mm – 12mm in scale, but they'll do.
I wish someone made Moon Hoppers, but they don't in anything near close to this scale, so I may have to try to make a pair from scratch, eventually. Here's a link to rules created by John Treadaway, and to photos of games run at UK conventions: link Wish someone would produce some proper 15mm Moonbase girls:
especially in "full kit":
Some proper astronauts would be nice too:

Here are some more pics, for force inspiration – would love to see some plain-clothed Earth-based security troops, like in the lower left hand photo of "Court Martial" (pic 12 of 26) – bare heads, in running-style suits, and go-go boots (yes, the men wear them too in this series): link Lots of other photos for inspiration there too, from UFO as well, like the tan SHADO HQ uniforms "Exposed" (second row down, third pic from left), or the light blue Interceptor Crew outfits, Skydiver crew outfits, etc. Here's an artist's drawing of the security uniforms: link More SHADO HQ uniforms: link Other UFO equipment images, if you aren't familiar with the show, or need a good resource: link |

It is like they are in 15mm to the eye size and he is 15m to the head size. Silly monkeys, mixing different sizes/scales :) |

link Here is a game I ran back in 2007 Fall-in using the same figs you have above. It was a recreation of the War of the Worlds battle at Grovers Mill. (pictures starting at 14 and going into the 80's I think) We used Dan Massey's Death Rays of War rules: danmassey.com/?postid=20 And of course the figs are 15mm.co.uk. The humans are Old Glory and Battle Front Late war Americans. Who knew we were doing 15mm Sci-fi before it was cool to do. :) |

Ah yes, a shame the aluminum-toned miniskirt never caught on:
Still, they'd be perfect for pewter, or polished lead minis, since they don't need to be painted, just shined up a bit with some fine steel wool. |
