In robes like these:

I'm simply trying to figure out if other manufacturers have more poses of Persians in "Persian dress" like the style pictured. Xyston just has that one set.

Thanks,

Dan

Check out Museum miniatures Arab range, their spearmen and bowmen aren't too dissimilar

Awesome!

Anyone know if they have a distributor in the US?

Thanks,

Dan

No idea, Daves e-mail is on the website, ask and ye shall find. (he's a very amenable character)

Yep, he does some cool stuff. I have a few of his 25mm Ancient armies ( QT ). All lovingly sculpted and well known for his pristine castings (imho). The designs and poses are very considered to make them really easy to paint, esp if you use oils/washes. I love his Indian elephants especially.

Whatever happened to QT?

The figures you posted look superb; You would think they are 25mm sculpts from the pics.

Museum usually has a 25% off sale sometime in January/ February.
You may want to look for dismounted Tuaregs as well.

Just be careful with scale
I have a Xyston persian army to face my AB greeks
The AB figs average at about 18mm
the Xyston figures at about 16-17mm so are a bit larger than other 15mm ranges.

You can find pics of AB Ancient Greeks on the Eureka Miniatures site:

Pics of the other AB Ancients ranges are available there as well.

Magister Militum has early and late Achaemenid Persians. There might be something in there?

Magister Militum

I'm quite partial to their Lydians and Greeks.
