Those top two are way cool! I would definately want those in 15mm. But sorry, I have no suggestions. |

TheBeast | 27 Sep 2011 12:08 p.m. PST |
Alas, the most recent Dark Eldar aren't in 15mm; some of the masks would be PERFECT. Doug |
Cacique Caribe | 27 Sep 2011 2:37 p.m. PST |
Are there any "Dark Eldar" in 15mm? Dan |
Psyckosama | 27 Sep 2011 3:53 p.m. PST |
plenty of Elvesn and Dark Elves
for blasters you could just take crossbows and trim off the bows. |
Psyckosama | 27 Sep 2011 6:25 p.m. PST |
Here's a good example
link
They look okay
not perfect
but remove the tip of the bolt, and the crossbar itself and you have a pistol! |
davebill | 29 Sep 2011 2:07 a.m. PST |
Or you can leave the crossbow in place and paint it metallic as a shuriken gun. And astrominiatures.blogspot.com Astro Miniatures also produce laser pistols in three styles. And when you put the two together, and take a bad picture of it, you can see the result on my modeling blog here link |
Psyckosama | 29 Sep 2011 8:48 p.m. PST |
question, would there be any interest in a line like this? |
Cacique Caribe | 29 Sep 2011 11:01 p.m. PST |
You mean like the robed and masked figures in the very first post? If so, count me in for sure!!! Or simply start with heads with masks. Right now the only option I see would be to add masks (and weapons) to figures of cultists (Rebel Minis, Pole Bitwy or others). Dan |
Mutant Q | 01 Oct 2011 11:27 p.m. PST |
I like to see them in any scale between 15mm and 28mm. |

I've never seen Sith, er Sidhe, er Zidhe before. ;->= MUCH closer! They sort of bring to mind some Pulp evil minions. Most I'm thinking of are 25/28mm, but I wonder if that's another area worthy of search. Doug |
Cacique Caribe | 25 Oct 2011 10:00 p.m. PST |
I don't care much for the half naked American Indian look-alike figures sold these days as Martians. So, when somone finally comes up with 15mm robed Martians, with those cool exotic masks, I think I'll be ready for them: TMP link TMP link I really like that desert Vulcan look, but with face masks, to ward off the blasting effect of sand on Mars. Dan |
AVAMANGO | 26 Oct 2011 4:02 a.m. PST |
How about Critical Mass new Praesentia ancients with a little bit of work 'ie' new hands and putty over the feet they would not look to far from what your trying to source.
|
Eli Arndt | 26 Oct 2011 7:33 a.m. PST |
How about fantasy wizards and clerics or even historical Persian leaders in their long robes with the Astro Miniatures heads? -Eli |
AVAMANGO | 26 Oct 2011 10:25 a.m. PST |
Agreed I think Eli has hit the nail on the head, ancients are the way to go for the time being until a miniature company decides that some robed aliens might be worth making see the ones in this auction auction |
AVAMANGO | 27 Oct 2011 7:44 a.m. PST |
DOH
why didnt i think of this before, if your looking for a single figure why not try and get a GW Epic Eldar Avatar they are about 18mm tall, i have plans to use one to lead my 15mm Eldar host.
|
Cacique Caribe | 27 Oct 2011 10:35 a.m. PST |
Eli/Avamango, I think you've hit it right on the nail. Persians in Persian dress seem perfect! All I would need to do is add a mask and a staff weapon and I'm set. Xyston seems to have just that one set:
Let's see if there are more poses out there in that style of dress, through other manufacturers: TMP link Thanks guys!!! Dan |
Eli Arndt | 27 Oct 2011 10:37 a.m. PST |
You may want to look into packs from other areas too such as Chinese, Ottoman Turks, Byzantines, or anything culture that wore long armor or robes. This could give you the variety you are looking for. -Eli |
Cacique Caribe | 27 Oct 2011 1:16 p.m. PST |
I don't know. Lots of conversions in a lot of those. I think masks on these Pole Bitwy Cultists is gonna have to be the way to go:
And throw these in as characters and leaders: rebelminis.com/15cuandmi.html Your thoughts? Dan PS. Are the CMG Praesentia 15mm size-compatible? I thought they were really tall aliens. |
Eli Arndt | 27 Oct 2011 1:23 p.m. PST |
Dan, Is there any reason you can't add masks to the the miniatures suggested? If you are looking for just a mask add-on then the monks and such would work. If you want ornate dress along with the masks, then some of the historical figs might work still. -Eli |
Cacique Caribe | 27 Oct 2011 1:31 p.m. PST |
I'm just so confused. Not sure which direction I should go. I want them to look alien in dress, but I want their attire to look solemn and desert-wise. Maybe I should do both and have the simpler "monks" for the grunts and the more "ornate" historical figures for the higher caste. Thoughts? Dan |
Eli Arndt | 27 Oct 2011 1:49 p.m. PST |
Dan, Follow your vision but any force need leaders :) -Eli |
Cacique Caribe | 27 Oct 2011 1:58 p.m. PST |
I will use the historical ones as their leaders then. As for my vision . . . I think I need new glasses (for my imagination). :) Dan |
Eli Arndt | 27 Oct 2011 2:03 p.m. PST |
S'okay, I sometimes think my imagination has beer goggles. My ideas often look a lot more appealing to me than they end up being :) -Eli |

To Piotr, Are you still producing these cultists?
If so, how many variants are there per set? Did you add more poses than the 4 pictured? And how many copies of each come in a set? Thanks, Dan |
Pole Bitwy PL | 12 Apr 2012 1:03 p.m. PST |
Hello Dan, Sure, the Cultists are still produced but will be back on sale next week when I pickup fresh castings. There are currently two copies each of the four variants in a pack for a total of eight miniatures. There are several more variants [mostly hooded] in the works, with ranged and white weapons as well as mutants and women cultists. Your posts just added more variants including SF weapons and masks. Post me your ideas and needs, so I can expand the to do list. Cheers, Piotr |

You just won't let this die, will you, Dan? ;->= I see I never mentioned, but if you've an interest in the semi-savage variety, what Space 1889 called Hill Martians, I'm assuming plenty of 15mm that would fit. I've even some old D&D Battlesystem 15's that were bought, intended for such use, but
Oh, shall I weep for unbegun projects glorious in contemplation? Doug |

War Monkey | 09 Jun 2013 11:05 a.m. PST |
TheBeast Just looking at the last post there and the miniatures on the link one could add a few brass rods to make them look more like energy weapons, last time I looked nothing in the rules "so to speak" says all weapons have to look like human made weapons. like "Chewbacca's crossbow" just vertical is all |
TheBeast | 09 Jun 2013 12:37 p.m. PST |
Rules? THERE ARE RULES?!?!? ;->= Actually, cutting off the bow arms leaves you 'clenched fists' for standard weapons, like pistols, though the pose would be admittedly weird. Again, not a bad thing. Also, some early firearms had long 'stocks' that could be held by the second hand. Still, a 'someday' project, alas. Doug |

How about these guys from 15mm.co.uk
linkhere's a picture close up and painted differently
from here linkcould be holding power weapon staffs |
Cacique Caribe | 10 Jun 2013 2:12 p.m. PST |
I think those spears could be converted into staff energy weapons easily. The helmets will need to be cut down a bit. Nice! Dan |
