The only photo I've found of that "post apocalyptic" type camp is the one in the upper right corner of this composite:
Help me find others, please. I believe there was a pretty elaborate defence perimeter too. Thanks, Dan TMP link link |

It is on netflix instant watch. I'm a nice guy so here is some screenshots of it. Pan across
Front gate
Lift – note it goes up quite a bit higher into the main tower as seen in the upper right photo in your pic.
Still – I think
There is the center eating hall I couldn't get a good shot in but it was just a bamboo? long house with clear plastic tarp the roof. Please grab the images if you want them as I am going to delete them out in a couple of days. Hope this helps some. |

QUESTION: Were the "posts" sticking out of the water in the middle of the lake dead trees or were they there for defence? Dan |

Yes Dropzone
above and beyond! Well on you sir. |

Dan
it is a movie set so no nature laws apply
but, the rest of the lake does not have same so they are there for a reason. The reason? Hmmm I suspect to make the camp look more full and busy to the eye for camera work. But if I had to assign a real world reason I would say aqua culture and or fish containment
one way channels so the fish swim in and continue in a maze that leads to a collection pen/area. Nets would be strung between the poles. Here are a couple related fun photos that I found while looking for fish pens
Taa daa! |

Oops, seem I added the same one twice there.
I'm not sure what all the logs were. A lot seemed to be broken trees at times and other times it seemed to be put there on purpose. I'd lean more to the second part if I was making it. |

So I better get to the store and buy a lot of sticks! Dan link TMP link |

Dan I would consider bulk tooth picks. The classic round ones, flat ones, and some fancy ones to give you instant tiny consistent details (the fancy ones are ranging
$10 for 1600)

Those bamboo "Kokeshi" toothpics are awesome. I use them all the time for sculpting and terrain. Much stronger than regular toothpicks made from other wood. You are absolutely right. The price of those is way better than buying the small craft sticks. Thanks, Dan |
