We really need one of these in 15mm scale, for a backdrop, for our Predator hunting parties: link Be sure to click over the page 1 as well, for a nice gray model image showing how the main engines tilt for landing. Not sure why I can't post a link to that directly (it keeps changing back to the images above, on page 3). I'd love to see one in 25mm/28mm scale too, but probably wouldn't be able to afford it. So, who is going to jump in first to make one of these? It would be a great dropship for other Sci-Fi minis as well. |

Here's a twin-engined model: media.photobucket.com/image/predators%20movie%20ship/Moguchiy_H/Predator%2520movie/Predators%2520Concept%2520art/Predator_Ship_wTexAT_v09.jpg You'll have to add in the http: // in front of the above, since for some reason I couldn't get the image to pull up, when posted in here, from Photobucket. I think I prefer the four-engined one better, but this one is very nice looking too. |

The ship looks like some sort of Eldar thing with Tyranid thingies attached to the front (I'm not a 40k afficionado, so I'm just guessing). Dan |

Ah, this one worked, for the rejected, twin-engine design:
Here's another nice twin-engine model (probably the same as the one above), but showing the engines tilted for takeoff, or landing:
Here's the direct link to the four-engined one, which I like best:

I was in a 15mm Pred game the other day and used my firefly shuttle. Could do wwith a proper Pred ship. |

I still think that the predator drop pods from AVP would be better for gaming purposes and a cheeper to buy if they were ever made in 15mm, im thinking about scratch building a couple just to see if i can source a few parts that look close enough to get away with.

They are interesting, and much easier to scratch-build, I think, but I prefer the dedicated lander vehicle myself. |

Kharusan has a couple of vehicle that would work well for Predator ground forces, if you believe they would be inclined to use them
On the other hand, take the turret off the tank shown abouve, and it wouldn't be a bad stand in for a 1-2 Predator landing shuttle. |

Maybe for a single Predator. Their ships do run very small:

The only issue being the twin canopies for a single seater perdator craft, but again i have to say it does look very predatorish i guess with some putty work one of the canopies could be concealed to perhaps made it look like a fixed forward fireing weapon. Earlier i mentioned scratch building the predator landing pods from AVP, well after a search for some specific shaped beads on ebay i think i will be able to create something that resembles the drop pods, they wont be exact but close enough, 'watch this space
' Also i just found this pod i had no idea about on the Kharusan site.

Maybe for a single Predator.Their ships do run very small You do realize there are two variants of these, right? The smaller, two cockpit one you have in your post IS probably too small for anything but a one-Predator scout vehicle. The larger version I had in my ealier post is about twice as long. It also has an APC pod to replace the turret, if desired. |
