I've ordered one of these, looks really nice, and it's cheap: link
I've seen a guy assemble an entire grey army using a couple of these saucers. It claims to be 1/72 scale which is at the same time nonsense and weird. However, hands off, these are the best flying saucers I've seen, too bad they're pricey: skyhookmodels.com/models.htm Several based on "Earth Vs The Flying Saucers", one of the best 50s sci fi movie ever:
And this nifty "Mars Attacks" one, itself based on the EFTFS craft:
~15 and ~18cm in diameter respectively Any other suggestions? |

The first saucer from Pegasus Hobbies looks great and priced at $13 USD its cheap as already pointed out, but the Dr Who Slitheen Ship with mid saucer section is ideal for any SPUG force and you can buy on E-bay for around $6 USD which is even better.

That looks wicked, interesting design! Thanks for the suggestion. |

I recently ran a GASLIGHT, 28mm game with the Pegasus one and an old, repainted, Mars Attacks toy saucer. I used decals from a 1/48 scale plane to make them into nazi flying saucers. They worked fine for 28mm. Not too small. Looked like you could fit in a pilot and about 10 troops. |

Want a hurkin' one? link <img src="http://round2models.com/images/models/pol812/pol812-02.jpg"> 1/72 scale, and 28" diameter (over 70cm) Not exactly cheap, but I recall not too badly priced either. --OK, what's the tag to get the image to show up in the message? |

Why not just build 'em. Hit the junk shops for some plastic bowls, plates etc.-a little glue and some chrome colored spray paint – and let the invasion begin! Also check at some of the craft stores for those 2 part, clear plastic spheres-they make great domes. Glue two plastic plates together stick one dome on top and fire up the theremin. Cheers! |

For very retro, try this. It's 1/48 scale and the pilot/cockpit scales well 28mm figures. Makes a nice fighter or hover tank for a retro-sci fi army.
link It's been sold under Lindberg, Glenco, and now Atlantis Models. link |

@Grodokar Have any good pics of the Pegasus ones with greys? Or any 15mm figures? @Cacique Caribe I've seen that myself. I'd love to see it with some to 15s to see how it looks next to them
that's a hint to someone out here. @CmdrKiley I bet if you pop the saucer from the 15mm.co.uk HOF line it would scale it down nicely, fill that hole, and make a decent elevated looking cockpit. 15mm.co.uk/Grey_Aliens.htm |

Here's some of my Saucers, in various states of assembly, with some 28mm figures to give you an idea of size. The figures are Griffin Greys.
Also from Pegasus Hobbies is the War of the Worlds War Machine. Ideal for 28mm scale.
This is another one not mentioned, Alpha Centauri Saucers. You get 2 of them in a box. Great for a mini saucer for 28mm scale and even have 'Mars Attacks' style landing gear.

Great stuff!I have the Pegasus diorama for the martian machines but they work for 15mm. I like the big one there and may have to snag one. I also really like the mars attacks and the alpha centauri saucers. link |

Well for converting the saucers to 15mm I have an idea. Mod the 15mm.co.uk saucer to fit in the gap. It would fill it nicely and could just be the core of the cockpit. Thoughts? |
Grodokar | 15 Sep 2011 11:29 a.m. PST |
Psychosama, sounds like a nifty idea! |
