Can you suggest some miniatures that I might use for Strange Aeons. I'd like about 5 Threshold figures
private eye, cops, civilian investigators
things of that natures. (maybe even some g-men) I'd like a wider variety of Lurkers
the crazed cultists, creepy townsfolk, frothing maniacs and the darker things from the other side of the skin of reality. Can you suggest either single figures or lines that I can perhaps take a look at and pick up? I've already looked at Strange Mike's miniature offerings and they're nice
but i'd like a bit of variety
help would be appreciated. |

sorry, Throshold in the title should be 'Threshold' |

@ kyoteblue The miniatures are 28mm that I'd be looking for and I don't need a huge amount but the ones I buy I'd like to have some character to them. Strange Mike as well should be Uncle Mike
and he's the producer of the game Strange Aeons. thanks |

I'm assuming 28mm
Artizan's Thrilling Tales springs to mind. I know West Wind and Copplestone castings have pulp lines, and I suspect Hasselfree and Reaper would have some offerings too. Only saw the photos but the Pulp Miniatures and Uncle Mike's look rougher-sculpted than the others I've named

Black Cat Bases for lurkers. (Love their Deep Ones!) They have a lot of nice modern figures that would be suitable, but not in 20's clothes and gear. Gangland minis from Blue Moon seems very good. The old Grenadier minis for Cthulhu investigators and monsters are available for Mirliton and EM-4. RAFM has a large line of (oldish) Cthulhu minis, both investigators and monsters. Rattrap has several suitable figures for agents, as does Brigade Games (not to be confused with Brigade Models). Many manufacturers of fantasy figures have some that are well suited as lurkers of different kind. Look at Reaper, Heresy, etc. There are also a good deal of monsters in prepainted plastic from Horrorclicks or D&D Minis that can are very nice, if the painting is touched up a bit. Be warned that Uncle Mikes figures are rather large, and the humans may not really fit in with many other brands. (I'd be particularly wary of mixing with RAFM and EM-4 (Grenadier). |

Pulp Figures are fantastic and they'd be my first choice. RAFM has a great line of Cthulhu, sculpted by the Pulp Figures guy. |

You should also check out Reaper. |

Lovecraft's tales were set in the 1920. To play Lovecraftian games in that period is indeed faithful to the *letter* of the Canon, but is it faithful to the *spirit*? The novellas were so much the more impressive as they were *contemporary* of their intended readers: so it would probably be more 'faithful' to HPL to play Cthulhu in 2011. Now, the Elder Gods and their minions were here *before* Humankind, so a Lovecraftian game can be set in any period of History, e.g. the 18th C. Pulp Figures in Canada are the 'bees knees'. Artizan's a close second.
