link Wherein I pontificate on a number of periods, genres and systems; and why they don't make it onto my personal roster. I'd be interested to hear what other peoples opinions are? |

Interesting topic .. I have little to no interest in naval combat outside of pirate skirmishing or air combat apart from the board game Wings of War. Greek fireships, Trafalgar, Jutland, zzzzzzzzzz |

WH40K, all sci-fi but I like Ogre/Gev,Sailing ship games where one maneuvers for seemingly hours and there is really no sinking etc(yeah I tried Trafalgar :( ) classic Nappys, Airplane games but I like CY6. RPGs |

Thirty years War, only played Nappy with boardgames(la Bataille series), WWI land, didn't mind naval or air. Modern naval was right out(played too much SFB, that spoiled it). Modern air('70's is as high as I go). Rolemaster Rpg, exercise in futility. Can't do D20-type rpg's anymore, too over-wrought. Older I get, the simpler systems become more attractive. |
