Some of you may remember the mobile home I painted up: TMP link

I just finished the second one I had bought from Miniature Building Authority. link

Again, I wanted Trailer Trash, but did keep the American Flag for now. I'm trying to decide what to paint over it with. I also finished a couple of Black Cat Bases dumpsters. AND I have a sign for the entrance to the trailer pak. Any one figure out where it is from?

Enjoy, there will be more pictures in a game setting this weekend, along with pictures of a BUNCH of other mobile homes and shacks and terrain pieces I had contracted out with Sabol Studios.

Thanks for looking. Comments appreciated, as are suggestions for a suitable flag or banner (which would have to be something a no-talent painter like me could handle).

Hooah!

How will you know who are zeds?
I think part of a dead critter poking out form under the crawlspace would work.

Tophet…as in the lake of fire?

"Tophet…as in the lake of fire?"

Yep, AND from a movie…

"Makes my Plasticville trialers look like disney"

Wait to you see the full trailer park! It includes what started life as the plasticville trailers.

Nice work.

Love the duct tape tarp.

Duct tape tarp is great. I was shocked by the cost…$70 before shipping! Egads…

Seems like a good candidate for foam core :)

Awesome!

A little off topic, but I just finished watching the series "Trailer Park Boys"… If you have Netflix, it might be worth checking out for some inspiration…

The MIA/POW flag (probably needs more talent thasn you feel you have) ( link )

or "Don't Tread On Me" ( link )

or it could be a small carpet hung over the rail to dry after Rusty shot the 12-pack of beer with his shotgun ('cause it was, and I quote, "Lookin at me funny").

If you don't feel up to hand painting a flag, you could always find a good image file, print it out and glue it in place…

LOVE the tarp, even managed to get the right blue. Good work my friend.

The tarp and bricks are ace, I'm gonna steal that idea if you don't mind Sir

CPT Jake21 May 2011 3:31 a.m. PST

The tarp is actually a piece of tissue. The bricks are actually tiny bricks left over from a pack of rubble I bought years ago for use in making dioramas with 1:35th scale models I used to build. I am happy with how it came out.

I thought about the MIA/POW flag, but since this is prone to be occupied by some bad dudes didn't want that. I've also thought about using a southern state college football tema logo or a made up motorcycle club patch/logo

28mm Man, I picked these up during a sale, the piece on its own is NOT worth the full amount in my opinion. Not that it is a bad piece, just not worth 70 bucks, especially if you don't intend to use it as it comes.

You know, if you look on ebay, in the model trains, "O" scale, the Plasticville trailer park is pretty inexpensive, and there are some LOVELY upscale models of campers, pick up trucks and trailers at pretty reasonable prices.

I found the Plasticville trailer park set w/ 3 trailers for $16, for example.

Respects,

You all will see pictures of my Plasticville set soon. Both the trailer park and the Hobo Jungle.

Just a thought…to make a larger park with dozens if not more trailers has anyone tried any versions of the folded/printed firm paper companies?

Are there trailers available? Seems like an easy mark.

Come to think of it…a whole bunch of shipping containers in the same material would be welcome.

Thoughts?

CPT Jake26 May 2011 3:56 p.m. PST

I got one World Works set a couple of years ago and was not very happy. That is not thier fault. The product was exactly what they said it would be, but I found paper terrain products and me just do not get along. I put together one piece and that was all.

I am sure there are paper trailers out there, as well as shipping containers. I'm also sure I won't be printing and cutting and folding and gluing and so forth to take advantage of them…

Someone offered a free mobile home download. I'll see if I can find it.
