Carrying on from this thread:

Thought I would post some pics of "Modern"ish PLA AFV's and also see what people are interested in getting made in 15mm to use with those lovely Rebel Mini's PLA figs and the upcoming Eureka PLA troops.

Some of these have been posted before, hopefully some are new:

So, what looks good?

Those are some great links! If I had to pick just one, it would be the ZBD09 8 x 8 Wheeled Infantry Fighting Vehicle, within your first link and isolated here:

Love to see someone take the whole project on as a unified range.

A man after my own heart. I love that one too. I'd settle for 1 wheeled apc, 1 tracked apc, and 1 mbt to start!

;-)

I would absolutely support that!

Just above the photo of the ZBD09 is a great shot of a Type 89 Armored Command Vehicle. Love the forest of antennas and relaxed unbuttoned crew.

For softskins, I am guessing the Chinese copy most late Russian trucks?

It looks like HMMWV's could be used as well:

I really like the look of the little 4 x 4! Seems that the Internal Security Forces use it. Based on the narrative it is vulnerable to small arms fire: just the kind of Achilles Heal that I love!

"Based on the narrative it is vulnerable to small arms fire: just the kind of Achilles Heal that I love!"

But because its in the PLA army they will have 30 coming at you at once!

"Quantity has a quality all its own"!

Indeed, the illustration shows a column of more than a dozen!

Steve & Kyoto, just in case you missed one of my hyperbolic threads about it, the ZBD09 & Type 96A MBT are now available for pre-order from Eureka. I figured, "what the heck". We have PLA infantry coming out from Rebel Minis, LKM/QRF & Eureka this year, so some one is bound to want some shiny AFV's to go along with all that unprotected infantry!

Enjoy:

I'm determined to build some of these, just to see how you are going to cope with painting that digital camo ;-)

Yes, that will be quite a test for the foggy old eyes and wobbly old hands!

At least I cant get the white walls wrong!
