I guess you can buy "greeblies" if you wanted to: link However, what if you wanted to make your own, from SMALL things found all around you? How do you guys "gussy up" your 15mm scratch-built or bought tech terrain pieces, ships, corridor walls, etc? I have a feeling that it has to be a bit harder to find bits for 15mm constructs than it is for 25mm or 28mm. Dan TMP link TMP link TMP link |

Easy enough
I have a half dozen old TVs, VCRs, computer towers, CD players, etc.. Take a few minutes to take them apart and take the PCB (printed circuit board) and either use as is or cut with a fine tooth saw (hack saw or band saw) into small chips. The larger components, wiring harnesses, chassis, etc. also make good pieces. Glue together, prime, paint, enjoy. |

Do you have any pics of what the final product looks like? Thanks, Dan PS. I would love to get results like these, except for 15mm pieces instead of larger scales: link link |

No, those are brass etched sprue pieces. PCBs picture picture picture TVs picture picture DVD players picture picture I don't have any cut into tiny chips as you have shown, but with a decent cutting tool, like this (my favorite tool) picture $140 USD with full replacement insurance from Lowes
you could cut through this like butter. |

Sorry in the middle of new years cleaning and well my camera platform is swamped today. One of the things planned is to make it so people don't stack stuff on top of the platform for the document camera. Ok by people I mean me. But you know how it gets. |

I wonder if anyone will ever come up with greeblies already molded into thin polystyrene sheets. Dan |
