So I am curious about this too, what is your beverage of choice while gaming at a convention? While coffee is my go-to drink under most circumstances I find a Dark and Stormy to be a fine complement to convention gaming.

Beer! Like there is another choice! I like Microbrews. If there are none to be had at the bar, I bring my own.

Beer, dulls the senses and you don't mind so much if the other players are inept.

Yuengling lager.

Diet RC soda.

As much as I'd like to have a few beers, alcohol and my meds do not mix well.

Mostly coffee -- black -- and Coke

Beer. Lots and lots of beer.
Once I was running a game and brought a keg.
Security was not too happy about it… Until I told them to help themselves. Then they seemed to make "security passes" about every 1/2 hour after that. AND refilling their cups… "Just to be sure". Classic. I love KublaCon.

I also make Gin and Tonics in the 1L tonic bottles to walk about the floor.

Jim Beam Black and whatever I have to mix it with.

So far, only diet soda. Would like to drink some beer, but I have to drive back from the convention and hate to miss the next day locked up in jail.

Root Beer! It is a compromise, though. You have to buy it in plastic bottles so you can keep it carbonated. The frosty mug is impractical except for the victory toast.

Black coffee or Pepsi Max.

Cider (preferably some form of scrumpy, but not likely in most places unless brought in yourself).

Last year I was dry at Cangames and just Vitamin Water. And man did I have a better time.

So beer only when the gaming is done…

Diet Coke. I live on caffeine.

I like beer as well. I played only one game where I wish beer was not available to two of the players. They were so sloshed, that they could barely play and spit foam all over the figs. I thought that game would never end. Here's to holding your liquor!

Yes, but only in Pennsylvania. My policy is to support the local brewers wherever the con is located. Craft beer is the only way to go, preferably a stout or porter; supplemented by moderate quantities of single malt, of course. (Fair warning: some scotches, notably Laphroaig and other Islay malts, are not good Breakfast Scotches).

Beer and unsweet tea.

Water and coffee during daylight hours.

Dalwhinnie in the evening.

Diet coke? Naw, I go for the hard stuff: coca cola, no diet. I don't think alcoholic drinks appropriate for gaming cons.

Gallons of coffee during the day and a snifter of single-malt for after – preferably Laphroaig but a spot of Talisker is also nice!

Ice cold Pepsi of course!

Favorite? Beer obviously. In practice I limit myself to meals and breaks, if I can get that much.

Next would be a cafe latte or capuccino or failing that, coffee. Again I limit myself. 1 latte per 2 beers is a good way to go if available which it rarely is.

For thirst quenching, club soda / sparkling water / iced tea / diluted lemonade in any combination.

Coffee during the day.
Beer starts half way through the last game of the evening, and continues on through the postmortems.

Beer after dinner. Tea, coffee or water during the day. Can't start too early

Coffee, then Diet Rite, then Irish Coffee, then more Diet Rite, then beer, then yet more Diet Rite, capping the night with a martini. Day 2: rinse, repeat.

Though August's convention had me drinking retro Mountain Dew (with cane sugar). Was on a sugar and caffeine high all weekend.

I have heard it said that there are sometimes meta-games at conventions where attendees see how many adult beverages they can consume and still win games. Not that I have ever participated myself mind you…

Don't much care for beer (gasp!), and usually running games so I need a clear mind; diet soda daytime, wine for discussions after a game… although I like the idea of a Dark and Stormy as well, especially after an Age of Sail Naval game, LOL!

Back in the day,(pre 94) 2 bloody Marys while setting up for the game on Sat Morning. Then a beer with lunch, and wine with dinner.

Since my favorite convention is held in a high school gymnasium, Dr Pepper.

Water, orange Juice, Smoothie, coffee.

If you can't make a decent cappucino then don't – just do filter coffee.
