Looks like a rabid hairless dog to me. If this story was anything more than sensationalism a biologist / Veternarian or whatever the proper field is, would be involved. |

I thinks it's awesome. What gets me though is how few seem to know about the mexican Xoloitzcuintle (Xolo dogs). link For some reason a lot of wildlife has been migrating north to the border states. Among them is the Jaguar, which was erradicated from the US, but are now moving in from Mexico. I find it perplexing how people in the south started using the name chupacabra for the Xolos they have shot and seen. The original chupacabra descriptions (in Puerto Rico) are nothing like what people are describing in border states. Those reports, however fantastic, describe something a lot like the cross between a kangaroo and a baboon. Cool article though. Dan TMP link |

I much rather go with Chupacabra type in these older fantastic tales: YouTube link Dan |

If you cross a kangaroo with a baboon, would it be a "kangaboon" or a "babooroo"? link link This one is missing the tail: link Dan TMP link |
