Good news on the Chewk front -- the sculptor has finally received the metal master pieces permitting him to redo the the main infantry poses. So the main sculpting should be complete within a few weeks.

Then there are just two other models that need to be done -- the chewkannon gunner and the sandflea beast of burden. Both need to be sculpted around the metal gun pieces and so I need to get those from the casters and send them to clibinarium so he can finish up.

Then we get to do the 17th C. Irish, something clib and I are both eager to do, as he's Irish and I mostly am too!

In other news, the pelagics are almost done. The myzontid rangers and orca power armour warriors are both being painted now. I've actually seen early paintups of the myzontids and they are very, very odd indeed. I'm wondering how they will resonate with customers! I am pretty sure the orcas will be crowd pleaders though, especially as they have swappable heads for two different bare-head poses and an enclosed helmet! (Actually the bareheaded poses are supposed to represent a clear bubble helmet filled mostly with water -- I'll bet some clever modelers out there can really bring that to life.)

Also have the metal masters for the Ti Monhids, large demonic power armoured warriors from another dimension who bioengineered the space Demons. I had two different heads made and can't decide which I like more. Anyone care to help me decide? wink

ORCA ORCA ORCA!!!

Have we seen the myzonthids yet?

Also, Ti Monhids sound awesome, when do we get to see them? I'd certainly put in some advice on some heads if you need it.

Just to prove we're never satisfied, any ETA on more pre-samurai Japanese? :)

Horses are done, the riders (horse archers and high command) will be made in May (hopefully, fingers crossed).

On the Ti Monhids, the problem is getting good pics so people can see the heads. I may send one of each to a painter and ask him to paint and photograph.

wash em with a dark ink maybe?

Cool, I may jump into that period yet. Or use them as an OpFors for your orcs when they come out. :)

According to the army list Ti Monhids can only be fielded as Allies for Early Samurai if their opponents have been upgraded with a Chewk warband after 1197-1203. Good Hordes of Things opponents, though.

Less! More! Aaaaaagh!

Still on track?

Well, while we continue to wait on the Chewks, check out these cool-looking 12mm tall "Sandrider" guys:

If these things ever come out, you'd better buy about a hundred packs to justify all this thread necromancy, Dan. :)

Don't see me nagging about the pre-samurai Japanese cavalry now, do you? Or the cat in a straw boater mini. Or the rest of the Biscuitship crew.

"Cool, I may jump into that period yet."

Yep. I have always wanted to do a pre-samurai army for a Korean invasion and to fight the early Tang. I'm holding off until the entire range is done before I start collecting though. Too many other projects to do in the mean time.

Are the Chewk troops finally out?
