Yes. This is another one of those "Who Sells" threads . . . Anyway, this is what I'm talking about: link I already tried emailing these two UK sites, but have not received any reply: link retrokit.net/100.html So . . . If you know of a source that will sell those 1/72 scale bricks to customers in the US, or if you know of a source in the US that does carry them, could you point me in that direction? From what I can see in this other thread, it seems like a couple of other US gamers could benefit from knowing of a source too. TMP link Thanks. Dan PS. Or, if you happen to be near a UK store that carries them, and you would like to make a gamer on this side of the pond very, very happy . . . could you pick me up a bag? I'll cover the costs, including shipping. |

I guess I should have typed the title more carefully. It should say JUWEELA, not JAWEELA. Dan |

Try any shop that sells doll house siding and other building accessories. That was were I was able to buy the bags that I have on hand. |

Thanks, but I've looked at what Hobby Lobby, Michael's and other craft stores carry. None of them carry anything that could be small enough for 1/72. 1) Each brick should be about 3mm, by 1.4mm by 1mm: TMP link I have tried to make them myself, but they never come out to be as straight and consistently even and regular as they should be. 2) And what I need are loose bricks. Not sheets. Tutorials like this one are not so helpful for making loose bricks: link Dan PS. I plan to use them with 15mm figures, so the bricks definitely cannot be bigger than that. |

There's a similar product..might be their stuff as well
that crops up at Tuesday Morning. They are structure kits in various scales. They tend to be less than $10 USD and the bricks are quite handy. There was a Cake Shop (has Spanish tile roofing bits) and a US White House if I recall. |
Cacique Caribe | 24 Apr 2010 10:51 p.m. PST |
CloudCaptain, Are they loose bricks? Dan |
cloudcaptain | 25 Apr 2010 1:36 a.m. PST |
Each kit is divided up into bubblewrap bags. Normally the bricks are white or beiege. The roof tiles on the cake shop were terracotta colored. You have to put the whole thing together brick by brick. Needless to say they got used for fortress walls, buildings, and various other things besides a cake shop :) |

CloudCaptain, Do you mean "Brick It"? The bricks are way too big for 15mm in those sets. Bo |
cloudcaptain | 25 Apr 2010 2:45 p.m. PST |
Probably..and now that you say it
I went down to check the terrain and they are too big. I wonder if its the same people ? If so
there is a US source. They are ok for 1/72 fortifications but not civilian 15mm. |
Cacique Caribe | 25 Apr 2010 4:29 p.m. PST |
Well, each 1/72 Juweela brick is 3.6mm x 1.8mm x .9mm (0.36cm x 0.18cm x 0.09cm), so they might be slightly big for 15mm, but not by much: link link link I REALLY want to get my hands on those 1/72 Juweela bricks (any color actually), and hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks. Dan |

Guys, Looks like a kind soul in the UK is going to get his hands on a few and send them my way. Thanks everyone. Dan PS. I still think that someone, like Rebel Minis, should try to become a US distributor. |

Dan,In the past, I used styrofoam from grocery stores to simulate bricks in 1/72 scale. They are the type that are a shaped and compressed, rectangular, and usually white or black.Go to a super market, look in the meat or produce section, and you will see them with meat or fruits, like grapes,on them.Remove the food when you get home, and wash the styro a couple of times with hot soapy water.let dry, cut into strips, and then into bricks.I know it sounds unsanitary, but it worked for me,and it was cheap.Use white glue of course to attach the bricks to each other. It's worth a try if you want to get going on your project right away. Good Luck-descartes |

I have another idea. How about cutting match sticks. Then dye them with red and black ink. |

Match sticks? Wow. That's original. Thanks. Dan |

I promise that, the moment I get the Juweela bricks, I'll post comparison shots against 15mm figures. Fingers crossed. Dan PS. And, if they work well with 15mm figures, someone among the 15mm miniature makers in the US should consider becoming a Juweela bricks stockist. |

Hello to everyone, sorry for interferring. I have just found this discussion. My name is Till, Iīm the owner of Juweela in Germany. Unfortunately we havenīt found a distributor for our products in the US until now. We are still looking for. We hope to find a distributor very soon. If you have any questions to us or to our products – please donīt hesitate to contact us: post@juweela.de juweela.de (sorry, the website is still in German only – it is completely new, we will add an English version as soon as possible). Unfortunately costs for shipping are quite expensive to the US. I would like to offer each new customer 20% off product prices for the first order. I wish you all the best and many greetings from Germany. Till |

Hi Till, The bricks arrived earlier this week. They are absolutely perfect for my needs. I'm sure that all 15mm, 20mm and 1/72 gamers who order them will love them. If I didn't have a trip planned for this weekend, I would sit down right away and start working on them. I really can't wait to see what I can make with them, and promise to post photos too. Thanks so, so much. I am very, very happy with the bricks, but also impressed by the customer service. I hope that U.S. miniature manufacturers reading this give serious consideration to becoming distributors. I feel like many wargamers on this side of the pond would benefit from it. Thanks again, Till!!! Dan |

Hey Dan
pictures? Love to see what you have done with them. Thanks! Troy |
Thomas Nissvik | 06 May 2011 10:47 a.m. PST |
Yes, Dan, we want pics. I can offer an example of what can be done with Juweela bricks and pavement stones. Figures are 20mm, but should give an indication anyway: link |
Cacique Caribe | 08 May 2011 9:23 p.m. PST |
Thomas, That is great. They do seem perfect for 15mm-20mm. Life has gotten in the way of my project, but I hope to get back on track soon. Once I do, I will post lots of photos. Dan |

Guys, buy the way, I've just found that this UK seller has bricks for 1/72: link link link They don't seem to be associated with Juweela. Now this is what I call dedication . . . link Dan |
