Hello! I just picked up the Chaos in Cairo and Chaos in Carpathia rules and I'm pretty excited to get rolling with them. I have several 28mm minis already, but I was wondering if anybody plays these games using 15mm, and if so, which minis do you use? Thanks! |

Thanks for the links, CC! Interesting reading, indeed. I was a little afraid it would be hard to find minis for the pulp/gothic horror genres, but I'm still on the quest! :) I've been bitten by the 15mm bug recently (thanks to rebel minis and lonegunman games). I've seen a couple of 15mm mummies, and Magister Militum makes some cool anubis characters that could fit in rather well in a Cairo game. |

BustaPC, This is what I hope I can do in 15mm at some point in the near future: TMP link Dan |

I thnik we may start seeing more 15mm Pulp figures within the next year. I sure hope so. Jake |

Jake, I sure hope you are right and that manufacturers are taking the (really obvious) hints. :) Dan |

Dan, that's a mighty ambitious project! I pretty much suck at making my own terrain, so I admire those who can! Paul |

Busta, I too am getting back into pulp with the Chaos series and am hoping to try it in 15mm as well. I don't have anything against 28mm, but it's become a bit of a mission now. -Eli |

Eli, It might be good to approach Piotr (Pole Bitwy). He might be willing to give 15mm Pulp figures a shot: TMP link Dan |

Interesting you should mention it. I've emailed him a couple of times about it and have received no response. Unusual for him, to be honest. -Eli |

Eli, I know what you mean :) 15mm is my latest obsession, mainly because of storage. I'm looking to scale down, and boy does it! I've sold/traded quite a bit of my old stuff to replace my 28's with 15's. Paul |
Eli Arndt | 25 Apr 2010 11:04 a.m. PST |
For me it comes down to cost, time and space. I have lived in an apartment for the last seven years (soon to change) and so have been looking for ways to make my games fit but also play effectively on a dining room table. Storage is an added bonus but it is not a primary concern. There is also the desire to be able to use terrain built for other games I play. I already have WW2 terrain in 15mm and 1930s-40s transport vehicles as well as some that work for 1920s. -Eli |

Eli, What do you use for transport vehicles? Anything that fits with "Raiders of the Lost Ark"? Like the ones they used in the desert? Paul |
Eli Arndt | 25 Apr 2010 10:10 p.m. PST |
Well, honestly, the trucks in Raiders were American, if I recall correctly. I use common German vehicles found in nearly any WW2 vehicle line. Of course you don't have to use German trucks. In the Middle East any nationality's vehicles could be in use as they are imported, salvaged, stollen, or otherwise procured. Below are a few that jumped out at me that could be civilian vehicles. Peter Pig does a few staff cars and such that can be painted for civilian vehicles. Pack #154 in the PBI (WW2) Line – French Citreon Car picture Pack #76 in the PBI (WW2) Line – Russian Staff car w/ 3 crew (no picture) I'm surei f you went digging you could find more, but the way I look at it, a few vehicles can go quite far across a lot of games. -Eli |

Found a Few more. This time from Quality Castings, available now through Old Glory 15s. I am sure other manufacturers carry these vehicles too, but I'm trying to go where I can get a pic too. American 2.5 ton truck link French Citroen 1.5ton w/ canvas top link Gaz AA Truck link -Eli |

You know, if you are a 15mm wargamer and like to buy from the "big bag" companies out there but cannot always use 25-50 command figures, this might be a good use for those odd figures. While you are forming units and ending up with your odds and ends, go ahead and base those odds and ends on individual bases and use them as invididuals in skirmish gaming. Heck, while you are at it, go ahead and do some head swaps and make a few characters. -Eli |
