Because of some pain issues I can't sit still for too long a period, so I'm just cobbling together something at a ten minutes per evening speed. During the last weeks I built what should become a lake town and future scene of fantasy skimishings: picture It's modular, so different configurations are possible. The only materials used were kebab skewers and coffee stirrers, so the costs are next to zero, which corresponds nicely with my current budget. I'm looking for something like burlap for the wickerwork walls, and a dead towel to be the thatch cover of the future removable styrene roofs. As always, your comments are more than welcome. |

Nice, I am looking forward to seeing more. How strong is the structure? I'm looking for something like burlap for the wickerwork walls Perhaps there is a paper towel with an appropriate texture. Then you could just do a paper mache treatment for the walls. |

Very nice work. What kind of glue are you using? For the wickerwork walls you might be able to use something like one of those woven straw beach mats or placemats
the strands would scale up a little largish, but it might work. Doug |

One material that could be used for representing very fine (and thin) wickerwork is the textured plastic from the base of the vacuum-formed plastic packaging that is used by Chinese bakeries for roll-cakes. |

Skeptic, restaurant supply wholesellers are one of my favourite types of hunting ground, I might indeed find something along those lines. |
