I don't have the movie on DVD, but wanted to find pictures of what that wall looked like (I think there was a concrete wall of some kind).

Was it anything like the wall that surrounded Raccoon City in the second Resident Evil film?

See 2:10 into this clip:

Thanks.

Thanks! That looks awesome.

They should have added some towers to that wall:

Also . . .

Were there really two gates she had to go through at the end of the film? That's what it looks like in that clip.

Or was that just a flashback?

PS. I didn't realize that they had also erected a wall around the Manhattan checkpoints at the start of the film (or it seems that way to me):

I mean, before the bridges were taken out:

Yes there was a wall. You can see it before the final credits when the camera is panning and pulling out on the survivor settlement.

I guess that what they had at the checkpoints in the first part of the film wasn't really a concrete wall:

Yes, they should add towers, search lights, lots of solar panels, farm land, and an ammunition factory. They'd need all of it to survive.

Cool premise for a game. The problem is that it could be a little one dimensional. The adventures are limited, pretty much, to:

- Go out and retrieve stuff.
- Fight different evolutionary strains of the virus.
- Save immune people.

But, if you put the plague together with Reign of Fire and some other elements, it could be fun!

I always thought the wall would be useless against the very agile vampire like baddies in I am Legend.I know its just a movie! But it bugs me a little.

"Go out and retrieve stuff."

LOL. I really like that!

Sneak out, without the Ragers detecting you. Search and grab what you need, without the Ragers detecting you. And then run like hell to the gates, while loaded down with all your goods. :)

It would be a lot like Escape from New York (but outside the enclosure and not inside), don't you think ?

PS. In my case, I would probably look like this:

Actually – given the context of the film – they should have a "light field" – a no-man's land between the surrounding forest and the wall filled with huge searchlights to fry anybody who comes across.

Fifty4,

You are an absolute genius!!! Excellent idea, as long as they have a reliable power source, and the creatures to destroy the lights somehow.

Thank you! I've never been called a genius – I have been called an "evil genius" recently.

Wait…maybe I prefer "evil" genius!??!

Cacique Caribe09 Apr 2010 10:39 a.m. PST

LOL. Ok. You are an absolutely Evil Genius!

The Apocalypse Z addon for Battlefield: EVO uses that premise…minus the light fields.

Considering the strength and drive of those beasties, that wall was pretty inadequate even with the light fields. Movie budget, I guess.

Did you think that there would be any chance to be a second part of that movie?

Armand,

Looks like they have in mind to do a "prequel":

Always a pleasure to read you.
Many thanks for your info.

Well from the looks of it, they at less have what looks like razor wire on top of the wall, as far as I can tell. It will not stop them but sure will slow them down enough to get a good clean shot. LOL

Anybody sell 28mm searchlights?

Cacique Caribe10 Apr 2010 2:28 p.m. PST

For 28mm? What about "O scale" searchlights?
