I, can anyone please let me know if they are having a hard time with black tree, I have had an order outstanding with them for over 6 week now, have rang them and got know help at all, the never return any calls, answer e-mails, and now they are just on answer machine. Anyone else waiting for their orders, why do wargamers put up with this rubbish service from dealers. michael |

A quick look through the last 40 or so subject headers on TMP's consumer affairs board will tell you everything you need to know. |

I wonder if there's a "black flag" thread or site where they just list the shoddiest of the shoddy for minis. Kind of a one-stop-site for who NOT to buy from, ever. BTD appears to want the title from new wave. Too bad because I really like their WWII Germans, and would buy many more, but I'm not getting any unless it's from someone other than them. |

22 months and still waiting. |

Michael, I have been waiting about the same time for my order. I received one email response saying they were a few weeks behind. Now-nothing. Here's my idea: group action. We could form a consise list of everyone who frequents this page and who has an outstanding order from BTD. We can then contact them en masse or have a designated person do so. The point is that when they realize we are aware of one another's plight and are willing to take action (within the bounds of the law, of course), things could get uncomfortable for them. I took part in an attempt over at Bartertown and we did get some results. I think it would be worth a try. What say you, everyone? Jason |

How insulting is it that whenever I enter this link what appears at the top of the page but a big frothy banner ad from BTD!! |
| terry1956 | 04 Feb 2010 7:48 a.m. PST |
Hi Jason, I would be up for that, my e-mail address is terry1956@btinternet.com michael. PS, Its not just black tree, there are a lot of dealers giving very poor service. |
| GreatScot72 | 04 Feb 2010 8:10 a.m. PST |
Terry, thanks, I will contact you. I started another thread because I did't want to hijack yours. Let's hope we can get some momentum going. Jason |

I tried to contact them before ordering, but they never responded by phone or email, so I did not order. I would say that they are out of business or just taking your money and running. |
| GreatScot72 | 04 Feb 2010 8:25 a.m. PST |
FireZouave, a few people are actually getting their orders. And some have gotten email and phone responses. I wouldn't think such a thing would happen if they were well and truly out. Jason |

Maybe we can ask Bill if he can remove their listing details and ad banner from the site, seeing as how a 'bad service from BTD' thread seems to appear every other day now. |
| Pierce Inverarity | 04 Feb 2010 10:01 a.m. PST |
There's a precedent where he did keep the listing for a painting service but added a cautionary note with a link to TMP threads where people mentioned its unreliability. |

I'm waiting on an order placed weeks ago as well. |

Tankisti, how many weeks ago? If you have been waiting an unreasonbly long period of time and want to join our effort see this link: TMP link and email me where indicated. |

I ordered some WW2 Russians & some Boers from them in early November. I got half my order in 1 or 2 weeks, the rest were back ordered. I waited about another month, e-mailed several times with no response. Then I called. A gent with an English accent answered, (I'm in the US) said he could see my order on the computer, said they were really swamped with the 50% off sale & he would take care of things asap. I got the rest of my order (came straight from England not Texas) about a week later. I told him that there was a lot of complaining about their service, but I had not experienced it before. He said most of these problems come from being crushed under the weight of the sale. Anyway, I don't know if I'm just lucky or what, but I was actually thinking about placing another order for some more WW2 stuff. Great prices, but that don't count for much if you don't get your order! JLA105, I think I would barrage them daily with emails & phone calls! 22 months, are you kiddin' me?! It's stories like yours that scare me! Peter |

I ordered a platoon of WW2 Russians in Septemper 09 – so I am a bit peeved that Ceterman orders Russians after I did and got them first! I do get responses from emails sent via the BDT we site, and I keep being told they will fix it asap, but still nothing

I swear, I didn't do it on purpose! Maybe, like I said, I'm just lucky. (it'd be the only thing I'm lucky at) Like I said though, I was going thru the US(Texas) website & calling the number there. |

My 1st, 2nd, and 3rd BTD orders were from the UK. The figures were 35% off and free shipping for orders over $100 USD I had no problems with the orders. I got my packages with in 2 weeks of my online order, but this was before the US(Texas) website. |

I've ordered from them three times now. The first two times, no problem. This time, three months to get half my order, now two weeks and still waiting for the other half. I'm not overly upset, I knew what I was getting into. But it has stopped me from ordering until I really, really want something from them. |

Ceterman, I had a similar experience. I recieved about 2/3 of my order with a note that the rest was on backorder. I made several attempts to contact BTD, finally got through to the UK office (I had made the mistake of ordering from the US distributor – DO NOT do that!) and received profuse apologies along with promises of the balance of the order sent along with extras for my trouble
I replied that I didn't want any extras, I just wanted what I had paid for. After a few weeks – still nothing, so I attempted to contact BTD again, but never got any replies. The amount of product (about US$45) is no longer worth the spike in blood pressure to me. I just chalk this up as a 'loss' and am very happy to relate my experience with BTD to any and all. I get some satisfaction knowing that by relating my experience a friend of mine who was just getting into Ancients spent his money on other manufacturer's figs instead. |

I just double checked – product ordered on 4/30/08. Blood pressure rising
must leave now

I can understand them being 'swamped" from a sale. But then turn around and announce a NEW sale when they still have order to fill from the last. That is what annoys me. I really like their figures and prices though. Like a moth to a flame. |

I ordered almost $200 USD USD of WWII figs in September. After a few weeks, John in the US assured me things were underway. Then no answers to emails until December. Then assurances that part of the order was on the way. Then silence
I tried calling and got the answering machine with an obviously OLD message. At the end of January, I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. The cc company has already credited me the full purchase and the interest. I would gladly add my voice to any complaint even though I am no longer connected to a purchase. |
