Stan Johanssen has some add-ons to give *any* Hot Wheels guns and armor. |

I was just looking in the Hot Wheels section at the local Target trying to find the new Ecto-1 Hot Wheels car. If you need close combat cars Battle Force 5 is the way to go although they tend to look futuristic. As for guns I think there were 1 or 2 in the current wave of 2010 releases. I think one was a cab. -Ken Radioactive Press |

Kind of on topic: Which brand is it that has the screw in the bottom of the chassis so you can take the vehicle apart for customization? I had one of these ages ago and a friend of mine begged it off me so he could convert it for CarWars. At the time I had no interest in customizing cars, but that has changed. |

Those Jada Battle Machines are the way to go if you don't want to customize Hot Wheels. Customizing Hot Wheels is quite a bit of fun, though, and really doesn't require a lot of materials. Also check out the Warlands forum on Aberrant's website for some great examples and ideas. |

Backyard Patrol.. thanks for the heads up on those..!! Paintbeast.. your best bet is what I do.. The idea is the convert them to screw type..:-) Drill a hole in the metal post, just big enough so that you can 'force' screw a small screw into it.. (thus cutting the threads as you do so) Go a little deeper than the screw length, since you'll be losing a bit off the top when you drill out the retaining part of the post. Then proceed to disassemble as normal.. |

You can also use epoxy glue to keep the vehicle parts together after using a Dremel to open it. Works for me so far. |

I saw the Jada stuff on clearance this week in Walmart. $4 USD a vehicle, looked a bit large for 28mm though. |

Battle Force 5 vehicles appear to be deleted in the new Wal-Mart mods, $2 USD each at my store. |

Jada looks to be about 20mm. I grabbed the last four my local Wally World had to play with my son. We're considering Axles and Alloys. |

Take a look here at the bottom of page link I have put up a size comparisons of the Jada and Hot Wheels Dodge challenger with 20, 25 and 28mm figures. The Jada cars are almost perfectly in scale with 28mm figures. Hope this helps. Stan Johansen |

We had a discussion on the Jada cars (for use with Speed Rally) about a month ago here

if you go to the last entry from me there is a link to a direct comparison in scale with Battle Machines to other cars btw, the Battle Machines are only screwed together and come apart quickly |
