Following off of this thread – TMP link I figured I would put my update in the SF boards where it belonged. Here is the WIP shots. I decided to add it too my 15mm stuff so converted to fit them(see link above for 28mm scale pic against base toy.) I am quite proud of the wings as they were in my bits box as section separator for the box itself. I welcome all advice either way, so CC away. Echo Base this is Bravo Tree, At DZ and dropping the package

Must admit, I wasn't very convinced when you posted about them yesterday, but you've done a great job converting it so far! |

I really like the conversions you did, my daughters are going to be so happy we get to go to MickeyDs today for lunch ;) |

Very nice conversion! What are the bits you covered the holes with and what are the wing strut bits? I would suggest making the view part of the rhino bit larger and wider to give it more of a cock pit feel. Mikey D's for me today too lol. |

Man, bad luck today no nerf for me. Anyone able to help me out? I'll paypal the HM amount + shipping. Thanks. |

The bits for the rear exhaust are rhino gunner bit's I think. The exhaust holes are where a marine head would go. I got like 2 dozen of them in a bits trade ages ago so I really cannot tell you what SM vehicle they go to 100% The wings are cut are underside;
Cut down gorkamaorka/speed freaks rams. I used the one with 3 big spikes and cut off the spikes and then the excess mounting bars. That was the base glued right to the toy. Then I took and used half of a old vehicle launcher, the 2 piece square ones and with a very slight trim glued them to the wing piece. Once that was dried I glued the wing to at an angle to the Ork ram bit. Half of a rhino door added more bulk to the top of the wing and half of a turret door was added to the underside. partly to hid the joint from the cut ork ram, but also to bulk it up down there as well. I did have to file off the little handle on it to get it to sit strait. I have no clue as to what the 4 bits are that are on top of the chassis and wings. They are some sort of IG or SM vehicle bit. I was going to take a few pics but my wife snuck out with both of our digital cameras today for a work function so it will be later tonight before I get one back and I will take more pics then. The cockpit has been giving me some troubles. I haven't found quite what I want for it yet but I have a small pile of parts trying to get the shape that I wanted. I am also working on some landing gear but sofar it's a fiddly affair and I might scrap it and go a different route. I am half way tempted to get a second one as I wanted to try a bulkier rear wing look like this; link
We will see I suppose. |

LOL, CC I played around with piles of bits adding and removing but in the end I decided that less is more and only added to the cockpit and a underslung missle launcher from an epic Titan I think. I have it undercoated right now but have not added paint yet. I am not a 100% sure about the cockpit but I will paint it up and if I am wrong I am going to try and sculpt what I want. |

Hmmm. So, Nerf foam stuff takes paint well then? I would think it would dissolve or something when sprayed. Dan |

Well the basis was plastic, I was surprised the darts were plastic too. The only thing that was foam was the targets. |

Been dealing with the start of a cold. I hope to be able to put a bit of time into painting tonight but we will see. |
