I know they are made up, but they almost look Eurasian. So, what's the closest you guys can come up with in 15mm?

Thanks.

Alan,

Yes, but the GW LOTR Elves and Gondorians are too big for 15mm.

I will leave classical and fantasy figures to others (those are very much like classical greek helmet to my untutored eye)

Considering it as a close barbutte from the Renaissance, you might consider these lads:

The middle horseman here is close:

Still, I have seen closer in 28, The whole horsehair thing is not that western. Someone with fantasy knowledge might be able to point out some not-riders-of-rohan since it seems closest to that as a design concept.

Agreed that they are essentially modified barbutes. A bit like Corinthian helmets but more like a barbute.

Your impression of a Eurasian derivation is because of the crown. With the horsetail, they look a little bit like crested spangenhelms, from the Sarmatians onward for about two millennia.

Some Turkic helmets also come close.

If you are looking for mounted 15mms with this _general_ profile I would suggest Khurusan, who are running a special on Avars with helmets a bit like these.

CC… the riders look very much like the 15mm High Elves I recently sold. However, the horse barding is not what you need.

I would look further into the Black Raven Foundry line of High Elves, Men of Ashur and other series. You might be able to ask for a horse swap from another line to match your rider.

Wow, thanks.

Those Splintered Light Dark Elves really have a lot of character!

I wonder if they'll have cavalry for them.
