"Spanish flags of irregular units" Topic

Like Prussian Reserve and L/W units, Spanish irregular units had a varity of unigue flags without many surviving examples. From my understanding mostly Roman Catholic themes. I am painting such units does any company sell such flags? I am a decent minatures painter put painting flags is way out of my league.

Perhaps Adolfo Ramos had some, though I can't recall if they are for the Carlist or Peninsular war.

Some units had very simple designs. Just plain white with some motto like "Viva Fernando VII" and the like.

Since there do appear to be very few surviving examples, perhaps you can use a bit of licence and go with a few Rennaissance/Thirty Years War flags.

I started on some 15mm Spanish militia only the day before yesterday and was going to exclude the flag-bearer, but your post started me thinking.

I have used GMB for the line, but am now thinking this will provide a good opportunity for a bit of variety.

I will be interested to see what you finally decide upon.
