Because I certainly can't, in most cases. I know little to nothing about modern firearms. So, please be gentle. :) But I have a feeling that, regardless of the rule set I select, I will need to know what these figures have in their hands, right? So . . . here it goes. Can you identify the specific firearms carried by the figures in the packs listed below? A lot of them look to be the same, but I can't really tell for sure. A) Rebel Minis US Special Forces link B) Rebel Minis US SWAT link C) Rebel Minis Contractors rebelminis.com/15cico.html D) Rebel Minis Bio-hazard zombie hunters rebelminis.com/bizohu.html E) Rebel Minis SAS Elite Team link F) Rebel Minis Modern Insurgents rebelminis.com/15moin.html G) Rebel Minis Armed Gunmen link H) QRF US Delta Special Forces link I) QRF US Ranger Squad Soft Caps link Thanks everyone. TMP link CC PS. I quess that, with grueling questions like this one, you really find out who your true friends are. :) |

The 1st one looks like a mix of mp5's and M4's with tactical scopes. I'm kinda busy I'll take a look at the rest later |
Bobgnar | 30 Jul 2009 9:56 a.m. PST |
one of the contractors has a brief case. most of the rest have some sort of automatic weapon. A biohazard guy had a pistol. In 15mm does it matter? |

Mind you they are a bit hard to see in these shots..but I think I covered them all. There are umpteen million configs for Colt series rifles
even a machine pistol variant (Liberty). The stats would basically be the same unless your system was heavily detailed for CQB
then you might want to give the M4s with the forward grips a slight initiative bonus. It would be negligible though. The scopes could be just about anything. a. M4's or Colt Commando clones. Hard to see. One guy in the back row might have a shotgun for some reason. Guess they are working an urban area.
b. M4 rigged for CQB on right. Looks like it is missing the carry handle. Can't make out the one on the left. Looks like a grenadle launcher or drum fed shotgun. C. Again
all M4 variants
cant tell what the one skyward is. The Civvy is carrying his lunch in a briefcase. D. Too blury. Looks like a USP pistol and possibly modded Coltish rifles. E. L96A1 Sniper Rifle (hard to see), 12 gauge pump, MP5, could be just about pistol on the last one. F. All AKs or a variant like and AKM
and an RPG. Maybe and RPG-7. G. Two AK-S and a double barrel 12 gauge in the middle. H. Again
some Colt variants. M249 for support. Delta can pretty much carry whatever they want. Have seen them with Sterling submachine guns before. I. M16s, M249 for support. |

Wow. You guys are awesome! Now I can look up each of them and see what their capabilities are. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! CC |

PS. If it helps, here's another picture for "D) Rebel Minis Bio-hazard zombie hunters": link link link rebelminis.com/bizohu.html Those two sets seem to be the same figures, but with a different name. You might also get a different view in my cork terrain pictures: link CC |

Those are weapons for 15mm toy soldiers, silly. Next question. |

For the QRF figures, if you go one step further and click on the listing it says: link : 2 x M4, M4 x M4/M203, 2 x M249, all in Special Forces harnesses, 'Protec' helmets and wearing knee and elbow pads link : Modeled wearing field caps and light equipment. 4 with M16, 2 with M16/M203, 2 with M249 SAW |

Now I can look up each of them and see what their capabilities are. Little bits of metal come out of the hole in the tube and make holes in things they hit. ;) |

Bit like the bit from Zorro
Don Diego de la Vega [indicating sword]: Do you know how to use that thing? Alejandro Murrieta: Yes! The pointy end goes into the other man. |

The SAS assault group in CCs second group of links look like they have G36s |

You mean this link: link No, not G36, not even the short barrel version: picture More like the MP5 with collapsed stock: picture |

I'm going on the ridge along the top looks like its the carry handle/sights of the G36. |

To add to CloudCaptain's post, my additions are in (parentheses). a. M4's or Colt Commando clones. Hard to see. One guy in the back row might have a shotgun for some reason. Guess they are working an urban area. (A couple look like they've got MP5 SMGs) b. M4 rigged for CQB on right. Looks like it is missing the carry handle. Can't make out the one on the left. Looks like a grenadle launcher or drum fed shotgun. (Looks like a similar mix to 'a' above to me.) C. Again
all M4 variants
cant tell what the one skyward is. The Civvy is carrying his lunch in a briefcase. D. Too blury. Looks like a USP pistol and possibly modded Coltish rifles. (Funny--my first guess on the pistol was USP also, but really it could be a glock or Sig or most any other "blocky" semi-auto.) E. L96A1 Sniper Rifle (hard to see), 12 gauge pump, MP5, could be just about pistol on the last one. F. All AKs or a variant like and AKM
and an RPG. Maybe and RPG-7. (One had the look of an RPK--folded bipod under the barrel--sort of the squad automatic support weapon version of the AK.) G. Two AK-S and a double barrel 12 gauge in the middle. H. Again
some Colt variants. M249 for support. Delta can pretty much carry whatever they want. Have seen them with Sterling submachine guns before. I. M16s, M249 for support. (A couple of the M16s look like they have the underslung M203 grenade launchers.) Rob |

I'm going on the ridge along the top looks like its the carry handle/sights of the G36. I can see why you say that, particularly the middle figure, but I still think they are intended to be one of the MP5 variants. |
